Chris Ward's Bio

Biography:
Christopher Ward has been an Independent Associate with Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. since August 2007. Chris comes from a military background having served in the U.S. Army for eleven years, eight in reconnaissance and three in Human Intelligence Collection. The strong ideals passed on to Chris through his tenure include Hard Work, Diligence, Self-Sacrifice, Team Work, and Integrity, resulting in a strong desire to be a business leader in Monterey. Chris came to Monterey initially to attend the Defense Language Institute for Serbian-Croatian (Jan-Dec, 2003) and then for Russian (Aug ’05-Aug ’06).

Chris provides affordable access for businesses, families, and individuals to top-quality legal access as well as Identity Theft Protection through his Pre-Paid Legal Business.

Being involved with small business development has contributed to Chris’ career growth in multiple ways. For one, Chris believes that personal development has a lot to do with one’s associations. “If you surround yourself with fun, energetic, ambitious, and driven people, than you will more than likely be the same”. Secondly, helping small businesses and individuals has resulted in Chris’ belief that he doesn’t succeed unless everyone around him succeeds. “A rising tide lifts all ships”.

The best career advice Chris ever learned was from Jean Paul Getty, an oil tycoon, and at one time, the world's richest private citizen and a philanthropic giant. Chris was inspired by Getty’s proclamation: “I’d rather have 1% of one hundred men’s efforts than 100% of my own”.

When he’s not working, Chris is a self-proclaimed “events junkie”. He proclaims there are so many things to do on the Monterey Peninsula, that no one can ever get bored. Chris not only loves meeting new people, but also getting involved with a lot of events to some degree or another.

The 7 Most Overrated Businesses

The 7 Most Overrated Businesses
By Kelly K. Spors and Kevin Salwen

With roughly 6.7 million jobs lost since the start of the recession, it's tempting - and often a great idea - to launch your own business. That way, of course, you can take matters into your own hands. No more rolling your eyes at the boss; it's your show.

But many people do a lousy job of picking businesses they can realistically turn into a p… Continue

What are you doing to strengthen the middle class?

Help Strengthen The Middle Class
The White House response to the current economic downturn is to create a Middle Class Task Force. "A strong middle class equals a strong America. We can’t have one without the other. This Task Force will be an important vehicle to assess new and existing policies across the board and determine if they are helping or hurting the middle class. It is our charge to get the middle class – the backbone of this count… Continue

Cell Phones and Student Loans and Civil Judgements, Oh My!

I ran across this testimony on a site (http://www.privacyrights.org/cases/victim24.htm) that allows ID theft victims to tell their story. Despite the day-to-day headlines in the newspapers, magazines, and on television, I still run into people that believe that it will not happen to them. I recently spoke to a relative about getting their Will done. They said that they didn't need a Will. I asked, "why not". Their honest response was,… Continue

Employers Cutting Benefits?

I've been hearing a lot about this as I travel across the nation. I know that companies are looking for ways to make reductions without having to let people go. Since the advent of HMO's, most people are choosing jobs based on the benefits offered. I have seen HR professionals writing blogs about getting better ideas from Employers about how to keep employees motivated and what to offer as a benefit.

Understand Networking

My name is Chris Ward, and for a little of my background; I was in the military for a number of years and at the tail end I worked in Human Intelligence Collection, which was a difficult job by design. However, the premise of the job was to network. As most people network in order to promote their business, find work, or find a date, I was looking for war criminals, terrorists, and war profiteers. So, although we are all looking for something dif… Continue

Chris,
That's a pretty cool story. Thanks for sharing. Yeah! I'm pretty new to social networking, but really enjoy learning and meeting new people. I was pretty shy as well, but lived all over the world moving every few years. I had to adapt quickly at meeting new people and thus now enjoy meeting others and hearing their stories. I too joined the Military (Marine Corps), and continually learned to adapt to ever changing environments on a continual basis. I think that's why I like social networking. It's always changing!

Chris,
Leading by example and sharing your ideas with your team is the best approach to building an MLM organization. Also, helping your down line to understand that any MLM is a business and needs to be operated accordingly.
