- Yes Bruce, Your statement about the clarity you give your audience makes perfect sense. And that is the main point of telling a story or giving your audience information. Most good writers or movie directors have respect for the audience and gives them credit for being smart.
On the other hand, you have to give them the proper information and setting for what you want to tell them. For example, James Cameron said for 'Titanic': "I did what the old country preachers do, tell them what you're gonna tell them, and then tell them."
In 'Titanic' he first shows the audience a modern compurterized explaination of the sinking. Then in the flashback he dramatizes it.
As Quiten Tarrentino said, "The audience wants to know that they are in good hands." Meaning, that the story telling knows what he's talking about and can guide the audience through the information, without making mistakes, breaking believability, talking down to them, or the worst sin, boring them.

I'm not in a 'twitter group'. I didn't know there were groups, so I'd better be clear that
the 'James Bond Lifestyle' is a course I've been teaching for years and have an audio-book out on.
So on twitter, I have have a pretend 'mission control' site, where I give out JBLS technigues. My fans know it's me, and like the fantasy of being agents with a Mission Control supporting them.
I do live in Tokyo most of the time, where they filmed the Bond movie 'You Only Live Twice'. 'Mission Control' does not activly recruit agents. They find their way to the site and then all are 'followed'.

Sorry for the delay in replaying to your comments on my blog, thanks so much by the way for that, it really is most appreciated. It is absolutely awesome that you have over 2000 books, I used to read a lot in the eighties, and sadly I put it to the side, I have now got back into reading though, and as well as that watching short sharp personal and business devlopment videos from our faculty. That is an interesting point you raise re hobbies, because I have worked in some jobs which started out as a hobby, and I absiolutely loved my time there, as it really did not seem like work.
