Earnestine Shuemake, a décor consultant and visual artist, is founder of OBA’s Atlanta and E. Shuemake Stokes Decors. Taking God-inspired ideas and her father; Ernest’s creative wisdom and he mother, Mary’s heart, Earnestine creates unique art forms.
Creating fantasy and fun allows Earnestine to come out-of-the-box on designing illusions. Her uncanny style has propelled her to be a true blessing in the arts community. She has won several awards for her unique style.
Along with decorations for events, weddings, parties, celebrations and unique concepts, Earnestine creates items for interiors, exteriors and individuals. Earnestine’s creations have been featured in such publications as Newsweek, Onyx Woman Magazine, Essence by Mail, Women’s Wear Daily, The South Fulton Neighbor, GoodLife, and the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Clients includes individuals and corporations and organizations such as the City of Atlanta, City of East Point, The High Museum of Art, Camp Creek MarketPlace I and II, Atlanta Business League, The DoubleTree Club Hotel, The Hyatt Regency Atlanta, North American Properties, Shops of Cascade, MegaFest 2006, The Brown Design Group, Inc., The Georgia International Convention Center, The Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc., Who’s Who in Black Atlanta, Brock Home Builders and the Fulton County Library.
Earnestine is founder of Camp Girlfriend, an organization for spiritually motivated sisters. She is a member of the Decorators Alliance of North America, Rakes and Hoes Gardening Club, the SCLC and the High Museum of Art. “Ms. E” also serves as a board member of the East Point Business and Industrial Development Authority.
She is happily married to Robert Wayne Stokes and has a young adult son, Oba, the parent company’s namesake.

The children are returning to school. Watching the advertising and sales makes me realize we need to start an advertising campaign for the Favor of God to protect our children and to give us courage to take back our schools. Children want to be and feel safe. They want to learn. They want to prosper. They want to be loved. They want us to have their backs. They want to be taught discipline and respect. They want to be good. In fact, they want to be children!
