Be Willing to Face Some Discomfort to Get What You Want!!Every goal has something in it that you don't want to do. Every
career, every marriage, every dream has some aspect that you
just don't want to deal with. The difference between a mediocre
life and a rich life is the person who is willing to put forth
that little bit of extra effort.
When I don't feel like going jogging, I put my running shoes on
and walk out the door. Sometimes I continue walking. Most of
the time I begin to jog. When I don't feel like making
marketing calls. I pick up the phone to call one person.
Sometimes I stop after that one; other times I find I've made
ten - even twenty calls. When I don't feel like really
listening to one of my loved ones, I sit down and focus on their
story. Occasionally I sit for a few minutes. Often, I find
myself relaxing completely enthralled with their tale and
completely forgetting my to-do list.
One of the most profound truths to success is you have to be
willing to do the things most people are not willing to do in
order to have what most people don't.
This may be a hard truth to accept. However, know that a small,
one-percent extra effort in these areas will ignite a powerful
force of motivation. It doesn't take much to get the fire
blazing.
