Ambiance Publishing Company was established as a self-publishing venture, primarily to publish the writings of Faythe D. Glenn, writing under the pseudo of F. Haywood Glenn.

The company was born out of the author’s frustration with the commercial publishing industry. After years of seeking publishing through conventional means, it became obvious that the most viable way to share my work with the reading community was to establish my own imprint.

Commercial Publishers were once known for mining new literary talent from among the mounds of manuscripts filling their mailrooms each day. Once an author was plucked from the obscurity of the slush pile, the publishers and editors took on the responsibility of grooming and developing the author into a celebrity and his/her work into a national best seller.

Unfortunately this scenario is from a bygone era. Today most commercial publishers are more interested in the bottom line than developing an unknown talent. Self-publishing, once believed to be the choice of untalented authors, has become a viable option for many extremely talented authors and is becoming the fastest growing segment of the publishing industry.
