I am the MD and founder of My Business Advice. It’s said that most authors write a book because they wanted to read it, but it didn’t exist. As a business coach I wanted a business site that could support my clients.

As an entrepreneur I have created a unique business community website www.mybusinessadvice.co.uk where everyone can enjoy Win:Win relationships and have a great deal of fun at the same time. The site is designed for use by startup and existing businesses of any size and provides facilities for Networking, Marketing and primarily Business Development in a supporting environment. Members can use the facilities to generate their own business growth, coaches can use the facilities as a resource for their clients or we can provide coaching/mentoring on a one to one basis or within a small group effectively giving each business a group of extra sales people and non-executive directors.

As a Business Coach I have helped my clients set targets and goals, create a firm financial foundation, establish effective marketing strategies, develop great teams, and generally provide a supporting structure for their business growth to give them options. Providing options allows you to create the opportunity for freedom to enjoy the lifestyle you originally went into business for. It was whilst I was working as a Business Coach that I realised what was missing, and the ideas behind mybusinessadvice.co.uk was born.

As an NLP Master Practitioner I specialise in helping business and individuals communicate better as I have found that most problems businesses face have their foundations in communication issues.

I have been running my own businesses for over 18 years and grew up in both my father and grandfathers manufacturing businesses so I understand the pressures involved in running a small business.

After training as an engineer I later moved into running my own busineses and I have had the rare privilege to work with a diverse range of businesses and with an equally diverse range of business owners. My experience includes Metal Fabrication, Paper Distribution, IT Training, Sustainability Management, Interior Design, Garment Decorating, Hairdressing, Car Sales, Health & Beauty, Wood Flooring, Garden Design, Taxis, Ballroom Dancing, Health & Safety, Perfume Retail, Fire Equipment, Recruitment and Engineering Consultancy in roles as a consultant, coach, trouble-shooter and Managing Director.

Personal

I have been married to Lorraine for the past 30 years, and I am privileged to have 2 daughters of 22 and 25.

I like a range of music, dancing, travel, eating-out, football (Chelsea – a long suffering fan before their recent success) and believe that life is out there to be lived.

As a wise man said to me "When you run out of money you can always make more, when you run out of time its gone forever".
