Since you're asking about online marketing I highly recommend taking a look at what Trevor Crook does: www.trevorcrook.com with his copywriting. There are a lot of gurus out there but knowing HOW to write is the most important skill.
Try and get out to some internet marketing events (don't get sucked into buying a ton of programs that you don't need!). There are many programs out there these days. I really like Connie Green who does a fantastic job of explaining things--just google her, get on her mailing list and if she's accepting members, she's a great person to work with and reasonably priced. If not, you can at least listen to her weekly teleseminar which is recorded for a week.
Scholastic is probably the company you would want to market your book. They sell books through the school system. Every child gets a flier to take home and they can order books through it.
Hope that helps and look forward to hearing more about your band's success. Who are they? We're always looking for new and interesting music to listen too. Canadians seem to be stuck in the past! I'm all for classic rock but honestly it gets boring after the 10000th time you hear it!

It's a very simple way to have one place to send folks so they can read up on my activities/ventures AND see links to all of my shops.
Online marketing is challenging. You actually have to budget time for it, because it moves fast, and it can be hard to stay visible. If you are on Facebook and don't have one, set up a page for your business. Mine has not brought me a LOT of traffic, but it's helped some.

Thank you for adding me as a friend and your kind comments. You know, a few years ago I took a home college writing course for children's books. Never got published, but then again, I didn't persue it for very long. Something I did learn is that many authors look for ways to self publish (which can be expensive).....but I'm sure you'll find someone here who can help you with your dream. If there's a will, there's a way. Keep in touch!

Welcome to my page. I run several businesses some in the very early stages than others. I have a wide range of business from a record label where I have artists in Rock n Pop and Hiphop N Rap, I am about to launch them on a major UK tour. I have a publishing company and mainly specialise in Children's stories fictional fairy stories, which is one of my favourite companies but it does take a while to get an income I really want to get the books into the USA market but I dont know how to?? So if any one can help, that would be great. One of my stories is based around Anti bullying awareness, which I feel is an important issue to spread.
I also run consultancy companies and offer advice to those who have reached a dead end in their music career, or dont know how to manage a band or situation as well as all the press packs and media production PR and Marketing As well as another company where I sell Lavender Wheat bags, Linen spray, other lavender and linen products.
One of my weaknesses is on line marketing and sales through these means. If any one can help with any advice I would appreciate it.
