PERSONAL DETAILS
Educated in South Africa, New Zealand and the UK, I lived amongst and worked with people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. My views are simple, look after people and they'll look after you.
Over the years I have acquired experience in a wide range of arenas from the marine, charitable sector to the construction industry. With a number of successful projects under my belt, I see Health & Safety as an essential, common sense part of being a responsible person, and also a natural progression of how successful businesses can further enhance high standards that look after the well being of their staff, increase quality standards, have good staff retention and increased profitability.
I am a highly motivated versatile, conscientious and dependable individual, that looks after clients interests with a work style that is geared toward anticipating situations and providing solutions before they become problems. I have a track record of encouraging high standards in Health and Safety from all personnel.
I am experienced in project and team support and am very commercially aware in the way I carry out my duties. Individually and as a part of a team I have always been a part of ensuring the highest standards of compliance within companies on EHS issues. I have considered experience in reviewing and producing policies and procedures for the companies I have worked in to achieving, retaining and maintaining compliance responsibilities. In addition I have collated statistics and data to identify trends and focus on continuous improvement, positive environmental and safety cultures and high morale. I am experienced in conducting inspections and audits within a variety of work environments with multifaceted operations as required. I am a thorough but approachable individual that achieves positive co-operation and assistance from others when required. I am used to taking direction well but also a strong and diplomatic leader when the situation demands it. I have extensive experience in producing comprehensive reports complete with full and accurate descriptions, findings and recommendations. As a commercially aware individual with budgetary control experience I operate in a very balanced, practical and pragmatic fashion and deliver results within deadline requirements. I listen to what is being said and I have the ability to work with and alongside personnel at all levels. Within my experience, both work related and in my upbringing, I have had many dealings with people from many different countries and cultures which I believe has stood me in good stead as an effective communicator. I am an articulate professional but I do have a human and compassionate side when required. Proficient in verbal and written communication I have liaised with external authorities on matters environmental, health and safety and have ensured required ISO certification is retained. Having read your requirements for this role I feel I would be an asset to your company as this role clearly requires the high standards I enjoy working to.
With over 5 years experience in diverse environments I am now looking to settle in a long term career with a company that offers an interesting a challenging role. Ideally I am looking for a rotation role of 28 days on/28 days off or similar - I am flexible. With flights,
