I grew up in the Texas Panhandle with my parents and 2 sisters. In 1963, I joined the Army. I was stationed in Ethiopia where I became a Communications Specialist. I was honorably discharged in 1966 from the Army.

I worked several jobs thereafter including the railroad, Boeing Aircraft, bar tending and working for the City of Amarillo. In late 1967, I joined the Amarillo Post Office where I worked as a mail clerk. I worked my way up to relief manager and supervisor, where I remained for the rest of my career there. I was employed by the Post Office for 39 years. Basically, I worked for the government for over 42 years of my life!

In 2005, I decided that I wanted to enjoy life outside the Post Office and so I retired!

I began to get bored with my newly found freedom and started looking for something to do to occupy my time and thoughts. I didn't want to rejoin the workforce and work 40, 30 or even 20 hours a week. Instead, I wanted to work for myself and provide a service to people.

This is when I created AmarilloCash4Notes.com. With so many people unsatisfied with recurring monthly payments, many note holders are choosing to settle for a lump-sum, cash payment NOW. I personally take it upon myself to connect note holders with note buyers.
