I run a Virtual Assistant network from Australia and have members in 15 different countries. I founded the industry in Australia in 1996 and opened the second VA network worldwide - long before most people even knew what we are or what we do. My business was established in March 1994.

I provide coaching and training for the industry and also write (blogs and books) about it, and speak at conferences and events. Perhaps I'll get to meet you in my travels sometime?

P.S. Did I hear you ask what is a "Virtual Assistant"? Think of Personal Secretary or Personal Assistant in the corporate world. Now shift the boss from the office next door to an office in a building over the other side of town, or the country but you're still working for him. That's pretty much what a Virtual Assistant does. Provide admin or secretarial support but on a virtual basis. We don't have to be in the same office or the same building. The benefit for clients is that they aren't paying the overheads for office space, furniture, equipment, software, lunch breaks, sick leave and so on as VAs are independent contractors, i.e. they're self-employed. And instead of working for one boss, we provide services to several clients. I love being able to use my skills to help others!
