Kathleen M. Schmidt

My name is Kathleen and I'm a Work At Home Mom (WAHM). My area's of expertise are working with children as a part time child care giver as well as writing, including my first book "Escaping The Glass Cage: A Story of Survival & Empowerment from Domestic Violence". Soon to be published, visit my website www.kathleenmschmidt.com for updates.

Both of my sons have Type 1 Diabetes, so it's very important to me that I am home with them. They each get daily shots and finger pokes, so Diabetes has become the "third child we didn't plan for". My dream is becoming a reality and I've slowly been able to phase out the child care business and focus on my writing. I am very grateful for the wonderful families I work for. But this is giving me more time with my family and freedom from so many diapers I currently have to change.

Before children, my jobs varied from longshore (yup, did that!) to medical receptionist. I've had sales jobs from selling pictures out of the back of my car to selling discount healthcare plans. .

My life is full, fun and happy, I've been attending the "University of Hard Knocks" since I graduated from high school. I married right out of school and after 6 years of an extremly abusive relationship, fled for my life and lived in a shelter for battered women. There I learned how to live again and reinvent myself. Since that time, I've re-married (as mentioned above) and have two beautiful children.

My interests are reading, writing for The Poor Chef, Charles Mattocks (www.thepoorchef.com), painting, hiking and pretty much anything outdoors with my family. We live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and love it!

Life is what you make it, so make it the best life you can!

How Big Is Your Dream Circle? (Revised)

We should probably start this out with, what is a Dream Circle? Well, remember your favorite comic strips with the little bubble above the character’s head either holding their thoughts or dreams. Your Dream Circle should be your dreams of what you wish to become, the things or stuff you want in your life, the life partner you wish to have, and so on.

But unfortunately, most tend to shrink their Dream Circle to match their current life. They think limiting thoughts by feeling they can’t have it… Continue

New company car!

Well, I don't have it yet, but I've picked it out already, it's a black GL550 SUV. I own an Expedition now, so that would be a nice trade up. Yup, My company "Z" is giving a car allowance to consultants who reach $2000 monthly residual, and that's just the start. The more you make, the bigger the car allowance!

Fix your credit now, ask me how!

Is your credit score less than desirable? Have you been turned down by a creditor or been denied while trying to make a big purchase such as a car or home? Maybe your interest rates on big purchases or credit cards are unnecessarily costing you lots of money. Let me assure you that one of the wisest decisions you can make is to seek professional help in dealing with your credit problems.

Most often people seek out a professional they can trust when it is necessary to make important decisions. T… Continue

What Are The Key's to Success?

All over the world, New Year's Resolutions seems to be the big priority when the new year begins. We make plans to lose weight, get in shape, spend more time with family, and of course, make more money. But unless you have a consistent plan to do any of them, the excited and pumped up goal will soon turn into a fizzle by Valentine's Day.

What can one do to stick with their goals? Keep them realistic and take steps every day to achieve them. I read the other day that success isn't just a destina… Continue

What to do when your computer crashes

Well, it doesn't involve tossing it out the window, but I sure wanted to last week. When I booted up my system in the morning all my files where completely wiped off. The first thing that came to mind I was hit by a hacker, but a friend who programs computers for a living told me the symptoms sounded like a conflict with Windows plus I have all the protection from McAfee.

So I went ahead and did a full system restore per her suggestion and got it back up and running again. Including downloading… Continue

Thank You,

4 you…))

I read this poem for many years ago, it’s Amazing…

A poem written by the famous Indian ; Kalidasa.

SALUTATION TO THE DAWN

Look to this day!

For it is life, the very life of life.

In its brief course

Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:

The bliss of growth

The glory of action

The splendor of achievement,

For yesterday is but a dream.

And tomorrow is only a vision,

But today we`ll lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness.

And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well, therefore, to this day!

Such is the salutation to the dawn.

TODAY'S THE DAY!! Have a wonderful evening…Let your love flow….)
See you soon.

Have You Met ROS?

- I Cordially Invite You To-

Have you ever had a business meeting at fine restaurant? Have you ever been involved in social gathering that involved food, wine and cocktails? I would venture to say you have enjoyed such an experience.

Regardless the event, be it fundraiser, networking or business dinner your culinary knowledge of foods, wines and cocktails can become the ice breaker to opening new relationships at these events. It’s the common ground we seek to open a conversation and be able to introduce ourselves. It’s a warm, soft non-offensive introduction.

I would like to share with you a new social community where you can gather this culinary knowledge, expand your network and have fun all at the same time. Meet and chat with Chefs, learn from top bartenders how to mix the perfect cocktail, listen to the wine experts review new and old wines, etc. etc.

So come join me at ROS, and help build our wonderful new community.

Cheers,
Allen

If you place your cursor on the bottom of the ROS badge below, the word Join will light up, if you click it – it will take you to the ROS sign-up page, thank you. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Thanks! I am so sorry not to have acknowledged your message sooner. These social networks are so confusing and I never seem to have the time to spend on playing with it or finding tutorials
