About Me

I am a professional singer and private voice instructor. Like many singers, I was approached multiple times by people wanting me to teach them how to sing. So I have been teaching voice for about 10 years now and have developed my own singing method called The Powell Method. Now, other singers like me have a way to receive the training and tools necessary to teach people how to sing. Singers can become Certified Powell Method Instructors (CPMIs) through my online training & certification program (coming soon!) and receive all the tools necessary to teach people how to sing with Vocal Versatility through studying The Powell Method!

So What Makes The Powell Method Unique?

Imagine that you are have been asked to create a superb Italian feast. But when you open your cabinets and your refrigerator, you discover you are missing the key tools and ingredients necessary to transform regular food into Italian cuisine. Without the proper tools and ingredients, making that Italian feast is an impossible task.

Similarly, singers are often required to be able to sing various styles of music (just look at American Idol!) but most have only received training in one technique, if any at all. Most often singers that have had any vocal training at all are taught classical (or "legitimate") technique. Singing R&B or country, for example, is not an easy feat for someone who only knows legit technique! It is just like attempting an Italian feast without the proper ingredients!! With The Powell Method, singers are taught legit as a base and then are taught two other techniques as well. The combination of these 3 techniques allows singers to manipulate the voice to be able to sing any style of music in a completely healthy way!

CPMIs are given all the training necessary to teach The Powell Method including teaching supplies, a syllabus, an outstanding revenue model, website exposure, and marketing training for gaining voice clients.
