I am a quick-learner, hard-worker, and creative and determined new mother... I need to be able to provide for my family and have wanted to start my own business for years, but have been out of a job for months so have no funds to do so. I don't own any credit cards, so my only credit is the late bills in my name... (darn).
I'm most interested in providing children's activity books and fun learning tools, as well as personalized poetry gifts and greeting cards (I've done this for years and have my own unique logo but have never been able to do it on a large scale), and I have some great ideas for scrapbooking and family fun night packets and things like that and can make great gift baskets and such, and I know I could do it all at very affordable prices. I already know that I need between $20,000 & $30,000 to have all necessary materials as well as provide for my family and all bills and food and such for a year to be able to get started without hangups and be able to produce enough to make a profit and that includes copyrights and advertising...
I am so excited to do so much and I know I am capable, but I can't get a loan because I don't have any income at this time, so I don't even have the materials to be able to show my products to any potential sponsors... I need some advice on how to go about it, and whether I should limit what I offer... I feel kind of hopeless right now. HELP! Delete Comment

1) go to your My Page
2) go to Setting on the right hand side
3) upload a photo or an image
Photos are crucial to building the trust and credibility necessary online for forming relationships.

I was reading your situation and several questions come to mind.
How much research have you done to see the market place demand for similar products.
How would you reproduce your work and what is your profit margin expectations.
How much to do need to sell in units to cover your basic costs and create a salary for yourself.
Etc etc
Sounds like you have some good ideas but no way to produce or market the products.
One thing you need to start with is focusing on one or 2 products that you can create and sell at a maximum profit first. Work with those items and get them moving. How do you plan to compete with the walmarts of the world. etc.
I absolutely love your determination. Give me someone with determination and a dream anytime over a comfortable hobbyist!
