Are you planning on purchasing courses or are you going to create your own? We went with an accredited school here in Canada, and though it is more expensive than "winging it" (from $1500-2500 per child per year), we have the assurance that our kids are having their work checked by a qualified teacher. We supervise the completion of the units and send them in to be marked, and then there is an exam at the end.

The rules are different depending on where you live, and there are a lot of support groups, both local (if you are lucky) and online.

Have you checked with your local school board to see what their views on homeschooling are?
