Who I Am:

Hello, my name is Lou Riley. I was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. I have been living in Nashville, TN for almost 10 years. I attended South Carolina State University, where I earned a B.S. in Biology. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling from Webster University, and I am completing my Doctoral Degree in Higher Education at Tennessee State University. Music was my first love. The Dallas Cowboys came in second. You will find that I am very passionate about both. I am also a bit of a techie. It's not unusual for me to be on top of the latest gadgets and devices long before most people catch up to them. I can't explain why, but I know that when I am around the things I enjoy, time stands still. The days are not long enough. I have learned to bring more focus to things over the years. I love to create. It is who I am and what I do.

Somewhere inside me lives a teacher. I guess that happens when both of your parents are retired educators. They have spent their lives working with kids. I have given a significant part of my time serving troubled youth as well. I look back at my childhood and I realize that I as only a decision or two away sometimes from getting into real trouble. Fortunately, I understood when to stay put and when to leave. I never cared to witness the big fight when I as a kid. I got into one or two of them, but I grew up at a time when you would fight, then an hour later, you were playing a game of football or basketball and it was all good.

Somewhere along my path I developed a love for life and an incredibly humorous way of looking at things. There's a lot more I could mention, but I won't right now. However, I hope this brief bio gives you enough info to want to know more. Be on the look-out for my videos and blogs around here. They tell a lot about what goes on in my head. Or, you could just take the old school route and ask! I look forward to hearing from you.
