I'll have a look at your birthday bonus club though (not tonight - have a case study to finish) - it looks somewhat like that good old SA institution, a stokvel! And I'm not knocking stokvels here - they have achieved amazing things in some of the very poor Aids projects up-country and are an ingenious system.
Your story sounds pretty much like mine as far as Internet business goes - been there, done that, lost many t-shirts! Am now focusing on learning the ropes and getting a solid internet skills base through Profit Lance. I'm trying to treat it rather like a UNISA course and just work through it systematically and patiently. Worth a look if you haven't seen it already.
Anyway, back to that case study - it's almost done.
