the dream

The Dream

A man lay on his bed at the end of his life waiting to die.

His dream came to pay its last respects and to bid farewell to the man who had never used it. As it entered the room the man looked down in shame.

“Why did you not realise me?” the dream asked.

“Because I was afraid,” said the man.

“Afraid of what? Said the dream.

“I was afraid I would fail”.

“But haven’t you failed by not attempting to use me?

“Yes, I did, but I always thought… Continue

Thanks for adding Me as a Friend!

It is Awesome to have You in My Universe!

I hope your days are truly blessed and Prosperous!

Please check out my newest business Blogs and remember just like in business....

In Africa, every morning a gazelle awakens knowing that it must outrun the fastest lion if it wants to stay alive.

Every morning, a lion wakes up knowing it must run faster than the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.

Moral of the story:

It makes no difference whether you are a gazelle or a lion: When the sun comes up, you had better be RUNNING!

Please let me know how I can assist you in expanding Your Universe.

Pay It Forward!

Peace & Blessings

Hi I wanted to introduce myself, my name is Nikki. I run two online businesses. DeNapoli Services, an off-site admin service that caters to Ecommerce businesses. I am assembling a small team and will be relaunching this in November.

I also have Shop Denida, this is an online store that puts creative women in the spotlight. This is my way of giving back to all the women. I have run into a small stumble on this for lack of funding. I only have 100 products up in the site and about 400 more to put in there but need to purchase a larger shopping cart first. This will be happening in the next couple of weeks. You can help with this wonderful Idea by supporting it on Idea Blob. It takes a moment to sign up (they do not spam you) and vote for me. Thank you in advance for your support

My Idea

I'm always open to advice so if anyone has any on either business I would LOVE to hear it. I'm really good at taking constructive criticism.

Along with these two business I'm a mom of 2 and a wife and of course a woman. I have many pets that I love to take care of and actually have business ideas on that too. However I have learned that one business needs to take off and run before I can start to many more.

I'm a firm believer that hard work pays off. Shop Denida has only been live since September 1st and I already have a Google ranking (albiet only a 2 but a ranking none the less) and will be learning more about internet marketing in the near future. Once I have that mastered it will be one more service that DeNapoli Services will be able to offer.

Another thing I am doing with Shop Denida is spotlighting a woman's cause. The cause I'm currently doing is the Pink Ribbon Tour. they will be having their home coming on the 26th of October and I will be gathering donations for baskets. Visitors to the home coming can enter the drawing for $5 for a chance to win one of the baskets. This will raise money for Breast cancer awareness. If you have anything you would like to donate please contact me. Donations will give you the opportunity to get some advertisement in the community. I plan on giving full credit to anyone that donates an item or something. I already have some vacations, T-shirts, pictures and a few other things. The bigger the basket the more donations. I will also be doing a jar of pink jelly beans, for a buck people will be able to guess how many in the jar and be entered into a prize drawing for another prize.

I'm very excited to be a part of this group. I plan on doing lots of networking this weekend to get donations for the prizes for the home coming.

I hope you have a great weekend.

My name is Mark Baker and I live in Jersey in the Channel Islands.
I am a professional speaker, Executive coach, Author and Consultant and previously I was an independent financial adviser , I joined the financial services industry in 1988 on a commission only basis and struggled for several years , the only sales I was making during this period were my possessions ! .

I then came across a book by Frank Bettger entitled ' How I raised myself from failure to success in selling 'A book which started my passion for sales and personal development literature, I later qualified for ' The Top Of The Table ' a club within the Million Dollar Round Table which represents the top 1% of earners in the financial services industry worldwide.

As my visibility in the insurance field grew I started to get invitations to speak and share my story , which led to the formation of Mark Baker International in 1994 , I deliver keynote speeches , workshops , seminars and Coaching throughout the UK , Ireland and the USA .
My exposure to the world of sales made me realise that this was not an industry where weakness of personality or personal faults went unnoticed; in fact these weaknesses would manifest themselves in your commission check.

As a child who was both physically and psychologically abused for over fifteen years , I suddenly became aware of the fact that I was carrying around a tremendous amount of baggage , In my quest to become a top salesman I studied every area that I perceived to be holding me back and developed a one day seminar which addressed these core issues such as low self esteem , limiting beliefs , inability to think big , procrastination and the psychology of selling , Interestingly enough when I made these seminars available I found that most people have the same challenges in varying degrees .
I currently offer a one day seminar called' the Line In The Sand' a extremely popular one day seminar which covers all of the areas previously mentioned as well as 'The Art and Science Of Goal Setting ,Advanced Visualisation Techniques , Communication Skills and the highlight of the day which is ' The Secret Law of life that guarantees your Success .

All of the above are available as a one day public course, in house private seminars and one to one coaching; each segment is available as a keynote address.
I have been blessed with two angels for daughters aged 15 and 11 and I am a keen cyclist, surfer, drummer but most of all I just love being Daddy.

To quote Nick Nolte in the movie The Prince of Tides, 'I've learned all I know about love from the women in my life, because before I was blessed with the three of them I knew nothing of love at all.
My passion is helping people and I sincerely hope that one day I have the privilege of helping you.
With Love and Respect
Mark Baker

Imagine from the moment you finish reading this piece that you have five minutes to live.

Take off your watch, place it in front of you and start writing short notes to all those that are important in your life.

You have FIVE minutes to do this.

What will you say to those who have played a part in your life?

To family, to friends and to others who have touched your life, what will be the message you wish to leave to each of them?

Think of how much you love them. Think of putting it into words. Now write those words down, your five minutes is up.

Did you remember them all?

Did you write something for each of them?

You most likely have another five minutes to live.............. So go tell them NOW!!!

the Dream
A man lay on his bed at the end of his life waiting to die.
His dream came to pay his last respects and bid farewell to the man who had never used it.
As it entered the room the man looked down in shame.
"Why did you not realise me?" the dream asked.
"Because I was afraid," the man said.
"Afraid of what," said the dream.
"I was afraid I would fail."
"But haven't you failed by not attempting to use me?"
"Yes I did, but I always thought there would be tomorrow."
"You Fool!" said the dream" Did it never occur to you that there was only ever today? The moment that you are in right now?
Do you think that now that death is here that you can put it off until tomorrow?".
"No". Said the man, a tear gently rolling down his cheek.
The dream was softer now, because it knew that there were two types of pain, the pain of discipline and the pain of regret, and while discipline weighs ounces, regret weighs pounds.
Then the dream leant forward to gently wipe away the tear and said, "You need only have taken the first step and I would have taken one to meet you, for the only thing that ever separated us was the belief in your mind that you couldn't have me".
Then they said goodbye and they both died.

I wrote this poem after dropping my children to school and was stuck in traffic, I did not know where it came from it literally just poured out onto paper, then it hit me, this was god talking to me.
