Working From Home Mum

I am a married mum. Aged 47 yrs old. I have two children, a wonderful boy aged 11 yrs and a wonderful girl aged 6 yrs.

My business started just over 6 yrs ago and started purely as word of mouth. However, I built my website just over a year ago and it took off straight away, I am really pleased to say.

I lost my job when I announced my pregnancy as I had just been promoted from Secretary to Marketing Manager. The original plan was that my husband was going to stay at home with baby. I am glad things worked out as they did!

After 2 yrs of looking for working from home jobs that were going to pay me rather than the other way around, I found a sewing job.

This particular job involved making bannerettes which had a printed design on them. I was paid £20 for around 7 hours work! Still, it meant we could save for camping trips and I ended up secretly enjoying the sewing, gluing and tassle making!

When my son was due to start full time school I was looking forward to being able to make the banners during the day rather than the middle of the night. However, the owner of the business had become ill and told me he was closing down his business. So, I decided to buy it from him!!!
