Welcome to StartUp.biz. I'm also new at this social networking and I'm still trying to learn how to navigate the site. Everybody that welcomed me sure seemed friendly. I think it will be a great place to make some cyber friends.

I'm a retired logging cat operator from the pacific northwest (as the picture below shows) and I'm trying to learn internet marketing as a supplement to my retirement. They say there's a lot of money to be made on the internet. What I found out is that affiliate marketing is the easiest and cheapest way to get started and the quickest way to see some income. I bought this e-course call The Affiliate Code by Michael Jones and he teaches how to get started with next to nothing out of pocket money. He sure explained it to me in a manner that even a dumb-bell logger like me can understand.

I guess we sign up to these social networks either looking for something to get into or as a way to promote a business we already have. I think whether a persons looking for something to do or just wanting to promote their existing business they might want to check out Michaels site. There is a ton of info on setting up new websites, optimizing existing websites, getting traffic, and tricks for getting Google to find and index you.
