We live in the most litigious society on earth. Even though there are a lot of great reasons to want to live in the United States of America the justice system in this country isn’t one of them. It’s a great system if you’re wealthy and a decent system if you’re poor but for the 80% of middle income Americans it just doesn’t work.

Above the entrance to the Supreme Court building are these words, “Equal Justice Under Law”. There’s only one thing wrong with that statement - it isn’t true. In this country you get as much justice as you can afford. They say that justice is blind but she isn’t blind, she sees one color and that color is green. We’ve witnessed it time and time again when the wealthy people of this country get away with crimes that ordinary citizens would go to jail for. Why?
