Greetings from New Hampshire!! Thanks for stopping in!!

My name is Samantha Cleveland, and as you can see...I'm a new kid on the block here on sta.rtup.biz.

New to business? No. New to this site, yes!

I am the co-creator/founder of WealthySelf Associates- the business that brings me here to sta.rtup.biz, but more importantly, and indeed the cause for my business, is that I am also a mother, a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter, a wife, a friend, an auntie, an in-law to many... you know, a real person living in the "real world". I wouldn't venture to say that qualifies me to run for office, say VP or anything (no offense... just being funny, folks!), it just makes me real. Like you in some ways, yet still uniquely me... Living in the reality I create, as you live in the reality you create.

Somewhere along the line, my huband Jeff and I decided that the reality we had created was not actually the one we'd choose, so we changed it. Overnight. (just kidding!). Actually, we did change our thinking in a snap by making a decision, and since reality is how you perceive it, perhaps that (the "overnight" joke) is more true that I was thinking when I just wrote it.

In a nutshell, that is what our business is about... providing people with an opportunity to change their reality from the one they are discontent with to living a life of personal, time and financial freedom... if that's what you choose - and because this is such a personal thing to me personally, our business is a big part of who I am. Its about changing people's lives and that is what I'm about.

I recently went to see James Arthur Ray and part of what he advises people to do who do not yet know their purpose is to think back to what they've always wanted to do, who they wanted to be, even when they were children....were there any common themes? What really brings you joy? What could you do for hours and totally get lost in it? Now, I already know I'm on the right path, but I started thinking back to when I was a child anyway. Am I on the right track? What did I want to be? What did I want to do?

If you're still with me here, you're going to think I'm nuts. But here it is. The only things I remember wanting to be: a scarecrow (specifically like the one from Wizard of Oz) and a disc jockey, you know a DJ, radio voice..... for children. Like Disney tunes.... I specifically recall swearing by the AristoCats.

So here I found myself comparing my lofty childhood dreams with my entrepreneurial and mothering self in the present. Do they add up? Am I on the path of what I always wanted to be/do/have? Or am I letting my inner-child down? And then as laughable as these dreams were from the mind of a child, I saw the pattern and how they do add up. I realized what those immature dreams of who I wanted to be when I grew up meant.

The scarecrow told people which way to go (at least in the Wizard of Oz anyway!). I wanted to do that. Provide direction, a service of value. Lead the way.

And the disc jockey. See, I had the "Lady-Bug Record Player", guys! It was hot! I must have been five years old, and I got it for Christmas. I remember bringing it upstairs, closing the door, putting my soundtracks on that baby and just listening to them hum. The AristoCats, Disco-Duck.... That is what kids wanted to hear. Kids wanted something that touched their souls, worked for them. Something to bring them to their perfect 5-year old joyous vibrational state. Yes, when I grew up I was going to give it to them! So..... my musical taste has broadened, but I still want to give people what they want. Something that works for them, something that touches their soul, something that brings them to their perfect vibrational state of joy, no matter what their age.

So anyway... that is me. And why what I do is so me. You can check us out if you'd like at www.wealthyself.org. I'm also a musician- I play guitar and piano, and I sing and write. I like to hoola-hoop, bake awesome cakes, make jam, pick berries, travel- oh, yes, that's a big one... I love discovering new places and new cultures. I love nature, and yet I love opulence. My family is my heart, as I know is true for most- and again, bringing me back to what I do. People deserve to live the life they choose- and do the things they choose to do, with the people they love the most.

While the US Government has created a "bailout" strategy to tackle the US economic chaos, whether it will work or not, people everywhere are seeking, or will very soon be seeking, their own, personal, bailout strategy. We can only expect the government to do so much for us on an individual level, and there comes a time when we, as individuals, must take full, yes ~ 100%~ personal accountability for what happens to us.
