Creating the Perfect Music for Your Life

A Bit of Bio

Hello, Sta.rtup Friends,

We're musicians, Cliff and Sei, deMarks. We live in Sandy Springs, Georgia, an Atlanta suburb in north Fulton County. We've been married for 32 years and still like each other. In addition to producing some fabulous music over the years, we've produced two daughters, Dede and Bama. Dede plays clarinet and Bama is a piano virtuoso.

When the Lucent Telephone Company downsizing occured about 11 years ago, we figured that God was giving us one final chance to go and be full-time musicians.

We took that chance and now we're happily living our dream of producing and playing beautiful music for our fans. Cliff plays all the music and Sei sings. We laughingly say this our first retirement. Before we retired, we were scrambling in the corporate rat race as mid and upper level managers.

We travel approximately 44 weeks out of the year bringing our music to fine art shows, craft shows, conventions, mall shows and expos. We don't complain, we love what we're doing, and we get to be together 24/7.

We have the creative side and the production side of music-making grasped firmly in our hands. We are always looking for opportunities to partner and/or joint venture where the sum of our music product and your product would be greater than the parts. If you have an idea that involves music CD's or music downloads please get in touch.

We not only create jazz, but New Age, Celtic, electronic dance, as well as music suitable for yoga instructors, spas, massage therapists and acupuncturists. Our motto is Creating the Perfect Music for Your Life

36 Flavors of Music

I don't even have to spell out the name of the business whose brand is 36 flavors. This company has a flavor for every taste. When we started out in the music business we had only one flavor of music. It was jazz. But when rap and hip hop sell the most CD's, with country a close second, it became necessary to add another flavor. So we added in the exact opposite of jazz - neoclassical piano. Do you know the story of Sisyphus? The gods punished him for trickery. He was condemned for an eternity to roll a huge boulder uphill only to watch it roll back downhill. "Ballon" Family to be Charged for Hoax

So, we've become so obsessed with fame and greedy for money that we engage the entire family in an elaborate hoax that sucks county and state government, the entire country into a staged tragedy. "Balloon" family what in the world were you thinking? To involve the young boy is particularly unforgivable. Methinks you've overreached. But maybe not, we remain a country that rewards boorish behavior.

What side of the serving line are you on?

The four year anniversary of the monster storm Katrina was recently commemorated. This
storm hit the Mississippi and Louisiana coasts on August 25, 2005 with devastating results.
Many people are still dealing with the aftermath, either physically, emotionally or financially.

I was home recently to visit my mother, who lives in Biloxi, Mississippi. She volunteers at a
facility that feeds the homeless, Loaves and Fishes. She is famously known as Miss Jean

A Christmas Gift in Jacksonville

We spent a coupla days on the stage at Jacksonville Airport this past week, keeping it festive and definitely Christmasy. We keep being blessed by the people who buy our music at various events. This time was no different.
