I was born, raised and still live in Barrington, RI, a beautiful waterfront community originally founded by the Mayflower Pilgrims. I have always loved to read and started writing at an early age. I love to write and became serious about writing in 1995 when I wrote my first Novel, “Offspring.” This is a Science Fiction story about an everyday man, appointed by an alien race – the creators of mankind, to save the species from a prophesied destruction of Earth. This has yet to be published.

I am hard at work on my second novel, “Hummingbird Wings” a tale of time travel and a man’s search for his one love, a woman I have actually dreamed of since a kid, across the vastness of time and space. As a kid, I had very vivid, repeated dreams of dying, in various lifetimes, all in the presence of this woman.

I’ve also written approximately 24 horror short stories, one of which you will read in this magazine. I hope to publish a book of these stories this year, and have made this my goal.

All of the work I create, my horror and my novels, all take place in or around my home town, or nearby New England states of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I have contributed several stories to a “Fan-zine – “Lovecraftian Ramblings.” I am told that these are now part of the Brown University H.P. Lovecraft collection.

My favorite author is Stephen King. I also eagerly devour the works of Dean Koontz.

A sick, twisted lunatic lives here!

I was chatting last night with a friend I have known since i started doing any sort of blogging. This has not been a long time for me. Although I love to write, blogging is a new "animal" to me. Something i am still working at, honing my skills, and just plain trying to get things to look nice on here.

So I happened to mention to her that I had entered one of my horror stories in a contest held by an online magazine and had won 2nd place. (In the back of my mind, i wonder if there were only a f… Continue

Hello ! Glad to see you plugging in here at Sta.rtup.biz!!

I have only been a member here for a few months now but I can honestly say this is an absolutely awesome place in which you can grow your business.

In fact in the little bit of time I have been here since starting in August I have received 84,236 (and growing!) unique visitors to my website with a whopping 346,624 page views! I want to say that even though there are just 28,000+ members here there is a lot more traffic rolling through here that never take the time to register as a member. That traffic will hit your website too if you interact effectively with enough people. Click here to see my actual stats.

The main thing I personally do is jump in and put consistent activity in here at Sta.rtup.biz to grow my own network. Remember that wallflowers usually build very feeble networks.

If you want to learn the same exact system I'm using here just visit my website at www.onlinegoldsystem.info.

I can even turn you on to a bunch of great content you can post on your blogs to build your own credibility with.

The system is so simple and effective ANYBODY can begin making money real online with it.

How are things going with you these days? I bet it will go even better when you really start utilizing Sta.rtup.biz into your daily routine!

There's no doubt about it. Building an online business can be both a rewarding and frustrating experience.

If you're struggling - or if you're new to the game of online marketing - these tips should help you on your way to creating a successful online business...

Start gathering contact info from day one.
You'll hear me say it again and again until I'm blue in the face - "the money is in the list". Yet many new online marketers fail to take this advice and instead spend unbelievable amounts of time on tactics that bring them a few dollars here and there but do nothing to build their business for the long term. Whatever you do, start building a list of interested prospects in your niche(s) from the very beginning. Give them something they will find valuable in exchange for their address. Then follow up with them regularly to keep them interested and get them buying! This list will be worth far more to you than any other piece of your business.

Have a strong sales funnel.
The concept of a sales funnel refers to how you organize your products and services. Picture a funnel with the wide end at the top. This symbolizes how you bring prospects in to your business using free methods. As you move down the funnel it gets progressively smaller. At each step along the way your products become increasingly more expensive. Of course, you also get fewer of your customers who take the offer. But the end result is that you funnel your best customers through to your highest ticket item such as your coaching program, home study course, consulting services, live event or a similarly priced product.

Don't be afraid to use other people's content.
Private label rights (PLR) content is a way of purchasing articles, ebooks, special reports and software that you can use as your own. Because it's sold to multiple people it's much more affordable than having someone create the content just for you. And it's available to start using immediately so you don't spend months trying to do it all yourself. Use PLR as content for your website, blog and newsletter. Give it away to build your list. Or sell it alone or as part of another product you offer. The possibilities are endless!

Hopefully these tips have given you some things to think about. When it comes to creating a successful online business there are many factors that you must take in to consideration. But with hard work and a willingness to keep trying you too can make money online.

Steve, if you are an author, stop "thinking about" your e-book and be about writing your e-book! As a self-published author, I know it's hard but it's like going through a pregnancy and labor pains. No pain - no gain. I self-published my books using Lulu.com and I highly recommend using them.

The key is just to get started and work on your book every single day even if only for a half hour.
