Hope your marketing is going well so far. You're right as far as Servana goes right now we are targeting people and small businesses who offer some kind of service so if you only have products to sell it might not make as much sense for you. We're going to be expanding into the product market in the future but for now its really geared toward services. I'll let you know when we update it.

Thanks for you comment and for checking out our website! I'm glad you liked it and I hope we can be helpful to you. We have a free marketing training coming up in the next few weeks so that is something to watch out for. We haven't put it on the website yet but will be doing that shortly.
Your business sounds great. You have a unique niche. Have you thought about who your ideal customers are? If you could target people for the themed events that may be a good place to start. You can find the groups/websites, etc where people are talking and blogging about these events and build a presense there and establish yourself as an expert (make sure you have the information of how to contact you in your signature line such as your website, servana profile, etc ) and a tagline about your business so people who like what you have to say will check out what you do and be more likely to use your products and services. Social marketing is all about creating and participating in conversations and building relationships. If you try to come in as a marketer or salesperson you will be rejected so make sure you don't do that.

Hi Terri,
As for where to begin, I would recommend reading the Social Networking Customer Acquistion 101 forum again, then dedicating some time each day to browsing the profiles of the new members that day for people that you want to add to your network.

Great pic! Very professional. I see your business is closed over Easter (and a little beyond). Well, in the meantime, I'm guessing your focus is magnets and labels, so I'd highly recommend you read Social Networking Customer Acquisition 101. It outlines the only proven process for turning friends and contacts on social networks into customers.
