Over the course of my professional career I have been fortunate to have lived in three separate countries; USA primarily, Geneva, Switzerland, four years, and Apizaco, Tlaxcala, Mexico, four years.
In Geneva, I was asked by the US Secret Service to be their interpreter liason with the Swiss TV stations when President Jimmy Carter went there to talk with Syrian President on May 9, 1977. I also taught English classes from my home there.
In Mexico, I taught second and third year French at the Alliance Française de Puebla in Puebla, Mexico. I also taught English to various local companies. I also wrote a trilingual engineering dictionary in 1983 which focused specifically on the petrochemical industry. I wrote 33 procedural papers for the company Clemex as well as translating all their business classes from French into Spanish.
In the US, I've written a syllabus for a course targeting Hispanics which combines beginning computer lessons with beginning English lessons. I've also taught English, Spanish and French classes from my home and at various company sites. I am also developing a matrix to explain the proper usage of phrasal verbs. This matrix will be available in all three languages.

Phrasal verbs - the bane of the English Language
Having lived in two other countries besides the US, and after learning their respective languages, I can safely state the pros and cons for foreigners learning English.
