I have a “Plan B” and it is working out very nicely for me. I have a full-time job but last year decided that the entrepreneurial spirit in me wanted to come out. Not only did I want to be my own boss, but I wanted to start something that would help people. So I joined SendOutCards. Not only can someone purchase their greeting cards for less then what they are in the store, but I help people reach out to family and friends and keep those important personal bonds.
According to the USAToday artic…

In this time of economic uncertainty many, many small business owners are hurting. I was in a meeting last week with some small business owners and they were asked how much is their Marketing budget this year. Can you believe the consensus was that most of them had cut all money for Marketing this year. How can this be?
I can understand how many small businesses are not seeing many new customers, but there are a small percentage that are. Could these be your customers? If you don’t have a plan…

Who did you get a prompting about today? You may be asking yourself “what is that prompting”? You know that little voice in your head that reminds where you left your keys or your cell phone. That little voice sends you prompting all day long and sends you split second thoughts of people you know at one time or another in your life. Did you think of your grandmother when you woke up this morning or maybe your brother before you went to bed? What did you do to act on that prompting? Why do you th…

As stated by the Greeting Card Association (www.greetingcard.org)…Giving a greeting card creates a lasting impression and emotional bond between sender and receiver. In a national survey for the Greeting Card Association, nearly one-third of respondents said they keep the special cards they receive “forever.”
This is the time of the year where we get ready to celebrate the day of love. We send cards to our significant other, our mothers, our children and even to that secret crush.
Why do we se…

How many customers have you reached out to this week?
How about 5 or maybe 10? Or is your plan for 2009 to just let all that income just go away?
Do you know that 68% of the people who never come back to you for a product and service do so because
YOU NEVER CONTACT THEM AGAIN?
And mass emails don’t count!!! How many of those get deleted and never opened?
Why are you letting that all happen? Well I’m here to give you that push you need and even help you work on a plan to st…

Being a small business owner or an entrepreneur for a MLM isn’t as easy as some people would lead you to believe and I feel a calling to help people build theirs.
So where has my path lead me for 2009? I want to help you,

Well now you have a product or service, you have customers, now what about your “
follow up”.
There are many suggestions out there as to how often or when you should
follow up with customers. But they all mention the same thing: “make it personal”. It would be great if you could call 1/3 of your customers every month, but if you have a thousand or even hundreds of customers, that isn’t real likely.
I would suggest cutting your customer list into thirds or quarters. Then each month…

Networking on the Internet is a great thing, but I’m starting to feel that many of you out there don’t know the first thing about “Marketing”. Most of us realize that if we could make thousands of dollars joining your company, it would be all over network television stations and all over the business publications.
I can only write for me personally, but I want to get to know you before I will even talk to you about your “business opportunity”. Why not send messages and post blogs that help me t…

Joe Girard is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as "The World's greatest Salesman". He sold (on average) 6 new cars every day for 15 years.
One of the secrets to his success was to send a greeting card to every customer every month. Inside every card was this simple message.
There are two important lessons from this story.
First, is frequency. Joe Girard sent a greeting card every month.
Second, is appreciation. Joe didn't promote the latest model or sale, he simply told the people…
