Greetings,
It's been a while since I've taken the time to add to my collection of blogs. I've been busy building my new found business and that is what I'd like to share with you today.
This is to all my fellow boomers and non-boomers. I've written a couple of blogs about baby boomers because they are very dear to my heart. I am one! And I am really enjoying my time. People born between the years of 1946 to 1964 are turning 60 at the rate of 10,800 a day. That is one person every 8 seconds. An…

This was sent to me by a friend, I thought it was so funny. I hope you get a laugh out of it as well.
As a joke, my brother used to hang a pair of panty hose over his fireplace before Christmas. He said all he wanted was for Santa to fill them.
What they say about Santa checking the list twice must be true because every Christmas morning, although Jay's kids' stockings were overflowed, his poor pantyhose hung sadly empty.
One year I decided to make his dream come true.
I put on sunglasses an…

With Christmas parties and such just around the corner, I thought this was just the ticket to share with my friends.
Not that any of us would do any of the things, or act any of the ways you are about to read.
Happy Holidays!!
DO YOU...
think a plus-1 is always a plus? Unless the invitation says "you and a guest," chances are you are the only one invited. So, don't just show up with someone on your arm, even if you're eager to show off your hot new mate.
have a case of the loners? The whole…

OK, before I go any further I have to tell you I can say that because I
am a "boomer." In fact there is a blog that I wrote telling you all that
on a previous blog.
And the answer to that question is "heck no!" Just because we have
worked for the past 40 or so years and are about ready to retire, does
not mean we are old.
It just means that we are tired of working for someone else. Most of
us want to retire and do the things we've planned on for the past several
year. You know, travel spend ou…

There was
a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She
hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always
there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see
the world, I will marry you.'
One day,
someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages
came off, she was able to see everything, including her
boyfriend.
He asked
her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The
girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The
sight of his clo…

Take a few minutes and read this, it's very moving.
'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL'
You say you will never forget where you were when
you heard the news On September 11, 2001.
Neither will I.
I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room
with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I
held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the
peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it
is OK..I am ready to go.'
I was with his wife when he called as she fed
breakfast to their children.…

I know this is not a traditional kind of blog, but this was
sent to me in an email.
I don't know where it came from, but as I read this it gave
me goosebumps.
So I thought I'd share it with my friends.
The Concert
When the house lights dimmed and the concert
was about to begin, the mother returned to
her seat and discovered the child was missing .
Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights
focused on the impressive Steinway on stage.
To her horror, the mother saw her little boy
sitting…

OK Jen, when you read this you'll know I read my mail. The story you told was so funny and I can so relate.
This is about being a Mom. When I was young, (a long time ago), I thought I could get away with anything. I loved cats and I had several as a child growing up. My Mom actually had a "pet cemetery" where all my babies were laid to rest. And there were a lot.
Anyway, Mom knew that I loved cats. Any kind of cat, it didn't matter. We kinda lived out in the country and we had a lot of strays…

Yesterday we buried my cousin. He was in his 70's. But I don't know when he got to be that age. He never seemed to grow up. And I don't feel like I'm any older, so when does that happen? Dick was a farmer most of his adult life. He worked at a factory fora short time, but discovered that the farm was where he needed to be.
He went back and stay with his folks and took care of them on the farm where they grew up. He has two brothers who cared for him in his last days.
One brother, Mike from Hut…
