A 1998 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (vol 279, April 15, 1998 pp 1200-1205 indicated that more than 2 million patients hospitalized in America suffered an ADR (Adverse Drug Reaction) within a 12 month period of the study, and of these more than 100,000 patients died.
