Survival in Today's Economical Tough Times!

No matter where you live in the United States, I'm sure the recession has touched you in some way; whether it's huge or small. You need faith in God, a plan to stay afloat and understand the actions necessary for survival. I do believe that our faith in God is now being tested, and we as spiritual people must remember to hold on to our beliefs and never give up on that God will intervene on our behalf as needed and not as we might want, nor at the time we want. Now, we must come up with plans… Continue

End of the Year Business Affairs

Happy holidays to all! As we approach the end the year, it is time for all business owners who are using Quickbooks to click on the help menu and then choose "Quickbooks Year-End Guide," which will give you a checklist of tasks to do to prepare for filing your taxes. It doesn't have to be done all in one day, but I do suggest that you start working on the list as soon as possible since the tax deadlines of March 15 or April 15 (depending on your business entity) has a way of sneaking up… Continue

A Sigh of Relief!

At the beginning of the election night when the numbers weren't going the way I wanted them to, I was feeling a sense of sadness not just for me but for our country. I was just praying that race wouldn't cloud the thinking process of the voters and that most qualified candidate would prevail by the end of the night. I stayed glue to www.7online.com throughout the evening keeping a watchful eye on the changing numbers while cautiously clinging to hope that America was going to show the world tha… Continue

November 4th's Election

I do pray that the election will be handle in a fair and democratic manner, but unfortunately some people of opposing politic parties are already starting to scam on how to steal the election instead of allowing the American people to chose their next President the democratic way. I have personal knowledge of people in New York receiving phone calls that if the lines are to long on Tuesday, November 4th, they may decide to wait until Wednesday to vote. This is a totally false piec… Continue

Change Is On the Horizon, So What Now?

The big day is almost here and as we hold our collective breaths waiting for the official announcement that "Change" was the choice of the American people, we must each ask ourselves, "So What Now? Do we turn our back on all the hard work, donations and volunteerism that we all readily gave in order to see this day or do we realize that this is only the beginning if we truly want to see a difference? WHEN Obama wins this election he will need ALL of us, rather you ca… Continue

Businesses Financial Affairs

With all the hoopla taking place over the past few weeks with the fat cats on Wall Street and us itty bitty tax payers coming to their rescue; we as small business owners should set an example and show them the proper way to manage their business affairs! We have less than 2 and 1/2 months left in 2008, which means it will be time to work on our favorite thing ("Tongue in Cheek") and prepare for the filing of our annual tax returns. Whether you are a sole proprietor filing a Schedule C along wi… Continue

Voting; Not a Choice, But a Must!!!

To my fellow business owners, mothers, fathers, children, friends: This year's Presidential Election is of utmost importance to all of us, whether we are the monetary challenged working class like the majority of us or the money endowed few who are watching their money disappear at a greater rate than they thought possible. We all have watched our economy deteriorate over the past 8 years due to a government more concern with the well-being of foreign countries than their own. I remember an ol… Continue

Time Management and Business

I've been out of commission for the past few days now I am playing catch-up, however I was able to think about how I am always running short of hours during the day. Time can be a great thief when we are operating our own businesses. It sneaks up on you and what seems like yesterday is actually three months ago. We tend to focus on getting to the next level in our respective businesses that we forget to sit back, and just chew the fat. If we decide to do just that we can probably be of more use… Continue

Clean Air and Healthy Body

As busy entrepreneurs we tend to forget that the environment that surrounds us is of utmost importance to our health, well-being and mental growth. If we are healthy, we perform better as human-beings in all aspects of our lives. I have discovered products that have help me remain healthy at home and on the road and want to share this information with my fellow entrepreneurs. These products help to kill germs and mold on surfaces; take out pollen, dust and pet dander and for those hooked on bot… Continue
