Keeping It Stupid Simple (KISS) - The New Network Marketing Prospecting and Lead Generation!

Do you know how to effectively find prospects in your network marketing business?

If you are totally clueless how to find new leads once your "warm list" ( friends, family, associates, mechanic, bank teller, priest, etc) has run out of people then allow me to educate you on the benefits of taking your prospecting & lead generation to the internet. Go online.

You see, network marketing prospecting uses many different types of traffic generation methods to get leads for your network marketing business. You can get potentially thousands of leads everyday if you setup your marketing system or funnel correctly. But first, let me share with you one of the worst ways to deal with network marketing prospecting:

Based on my experiences in network marketing, the first thing an upline tells their downline to do when they first join a network marketing opportunity is to build a name or "warm" list. As mentioned above this could be a list of friends, relatives, co-workers, etc and the upline/team leader will teach them how to "share" their products or get them to join their team as a business builder.

The problem surfaces when the rep runs out of friends and relatives to prospect (believe me I know, this is how I was taught...I wasted time, money & more importantly ruined important relationships). Some network marketing reps resort to building their network marketing business by cold calling and buying leads. In my opinion these two methods don’t work. The biggest problem with this type of prospecting is that it doesn’t work and you are only irritating your prospect by calling them as a stranger. Who loves to receive calls from strangers, right? You are wasting your time with cold calling and buying dead beat leads. Why buy when you can generate your own leads!

Let me share with you some network marketing prospecting tips that will help you to see network marketing, prospecting, and business building in a different way. I'm going to keep it simple here and not overcomplicated it like most of the industry.

You can start by building a mailing list. You can setup a landing page for free (also known as a lead "capture" or "squeeze" page) by giving away a free special report or ebook on your network marketing company, product or even better lead generation, tips, strategies, etc. You can write it yourself or you can even pay a ghostwriter to write an E-book for you. Once your lead capture page is setup, your goal is to get people to come to your website by driving targeted traffic there. You can use a variety of ways to do so. You can buy traffic via Google AdWords (be careful it can get expensive but it's very effective), you can use co-registration leads to build your mailing list, you can also use banner advertising to drive traffic to your website and with the latest rage in social networking you can use sites like www.preMLM.com (the key is targeted business sites). There are tons of other methods for lead generation but again, keeping it stupid simple (KISS). You should test each traffic generation method and see which one is the most effective for you & your business.
