Rayela Art Background Information
I am a fiber artist (quilting, sewing), but my primary occupation since 1988 has been in selling handicrafts (now only textiles) through a variety of venues including brick and mortar stores, festivals and online.
My blog, Rayela's Fiber Focus (http://fiberfocus.blogspot.com/) has an educational mission that seeks to address fiber related issues around the world in an effort to increase dialog between people of different cultures. I also invite artists and fiber related businesses to talk about their work.
I recently started a companion social networking to the site, Fiber Focus on Ning (http://fiberfocus.ning.com/), that has started to grow.
My primary interest, outside of the artistic content of these products, is to support economic development initiatives in low income areas.
