Do the things going on in our country worry you? Do you fear what tomorrow holds? Let us look at things thru our Christian eyes for a moment, and let us ask God to open our eyes to the reality of truth so that we may fully understand it. As Christians, though the problems of the world exist we still have peace-amen. We have peace knowing that though the storms rise up, we know the end of the story for we have read the book, and trust in Jesus. The big question is my friends: is do we simply stand, or do we walk onto a battlefield and engage our enemy on his own ground? If we did, how would we proceed? First and foremost we must remember we are indeed Christians. Jesus Christ did not hold his tongue when it came to truth, and God’s will. He even expressed his righteous anger in the temple, when he turned over the tables in protest. This tells us Jesus would have us speak up, and not be afraid of what may happen, if we are indeed defending truth. What we must discern is what emotion is and what is God. We must remember is God has a plan, and though things look like a dozen disasters caught up in a whirlwind of chaos, that plan will indeed be fulfilled. But until that plan is fulfilled we are to be working for his cause. Teaching people the truth, giving deliverance to those in need, defending the weak, and proclaiming repentance to a world caught up in sin. Church, God is calling us today to stand as his voice, and to be a light at the end of that dark tunnel. A people that is not afraid of persecution and suffering if it is in serving God. A people that will indeed lay down their life for the God they swear they serve. Let us ask ourselves this, what if you were asked to renounce your faith or to die, what would you choose? There are people today in foreign countries that are already dyeing as we speak for their faith. Currently in the United States of America we can serve and worship our God for the most part without any persecution, but how long will it last if we silence are voices, and simply stand? Repeatedly this scripture comes to mind. In Ezekiel 22:30 “And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land….. I may not be able to speak for all, but I can say for myself “LORD I will go” now the question is, will someone go with me? One voice can break the silence, but many voices can shake the walls. Many more can take down walls, as it did at Jericho. Their unity and their obedience to God torn down the walls, without a single blow. Do not say it is of no use, for with God all things are possible. Christians look around us. Look at God’s people and offer your hand to them. Do not offer them some watered down religion, but offer them truth, and a God that can touch them in every fabric of their being. Let us not simply speak of God, but also lead them to God. Christians it is time: it is time to get up off our normal church routines and be a voice in the wilderness. My hand is out brothers and sisters, will you take it?
