Advertising thru Safelists and Traffic Exchanges – does it work ???

SAFELISTS

Free Safelists and Paid Safelists are becoming a very popular way of advertising websites and programs via e-mail. Safelists are lists which contain email addresses of individuals which have agreed to receive email from the other members of the safelist. Some safelists contain thousands of members. So, whether you join a free safelist, or a paid safelist, you too can email those members of the list about your website or offer.

Some safelists allow you to join free - but with limitations. Such as - if you join free, you might only be allowed to email a certain number of members only once a week. However, paid members are allowed to post every day or every other day.

A very important factor when using a safelist is to have your email opened. A catching subject line will do the trick. Look at all the emails you receive – study the subject lines and you can learn what it takes for an email to be opened.

Another important factor is not to use your primary email address when joining a safelist. You are bound to receive quite a number of emails from the other members of the list – so the best way is to set up an email address especially for that list. Gmail lets you open several email accounts for free.

• One of the best lists that I am a member of is ViralURL. I find this to be the MOST responsive list of all. I do not know if as a free member one can email other lists members – but as a paid member I can email 3,000 random members every 3 days – which adds up to 30,000 a month. The OTO for the Gold membership is very affordable and believe me well worth it !!
You can check ViralURL here.

• Also a NEW list builder has just been launched – this is Viral-List.COM. For a ridiculously low one-time fee – EACH person who signs up after you will be on your list. Also if you decide to refer other people you will be paid $3 or $5 for every member in your downline – 7 levels deep. An excellent way to build up your list and getting paid at the same time !!
You can check Viral-List.COM here.

TRAFFIC EXCHANGE and SURF SITES

A traffic exchange and surf website receives website submissions from webmasters that join traffic exchange networks. The person who submitted the website then has to browse other member sites on the exchange program to earn credits, which enable their sites to be viewed by other members through the surf system. This increases the number of visitors to all the sites involved.

Exchanges enforce a certain credit ratio, which illustrates the amount of websites the surfer must view in order to receive one hit through the program for their promoted website. Many sites offer the ability to upgrade one's membership level for a more equal credit ratio.

As the viewers are all website owners or affiliates, it is possible that some might find certain member sites interesting and thus make note of them on their own sites, sending more traffic their way. Most traffic programs also impose a time limit when members are browsing, ranging from 10 seconds to 60 seconds.

Some traffic exchange sites also offer payments for viewing the minimum number of websites imposed by the particular site. This in itself promotes a win win situation – getting paid and getting ‘eyeballs’ on your own websites and banners.

• One such traffic exchange website is Ad Ventures 4 U – when one joins and upgrades (minimum $10) – the upgraded member gets paid 14% of their upgrade (Ventures) every week – for surfing 26 websites (10 minutes) every day. A member can advertise both websites and banners on the site itself (included in the price of the upgrade). Ad Venures 4U is a very safe site situated in Panama !! And a 14% payout weekly is NOTHING to sneeze at !! Ad Ventures 4 U has been around for a long time and it pays revenue from earnings - so we will continue to see it around - do not worry !!
You can check Ad Ventures 4U here.

I hope that you have found the above information useful for your website and banner advertising. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

I cannot underline either way. Safelist are a re waste of time because you read all that is sent out to you but i'm sure the only reason your advertising is opened is due to the credits you are given for sitting there looking at the screen. trafic exchanges are very similar.
You stay on the site till the counter hits zero then you are off to the next site.
Forgetting what was said or shown on the previous screen.Sorry I dont use either one any more. My time is very limited so I waste none on junk.
Thats how I feel about either one.

We, as a business, have never used "safelists" - paid or free - and from a consumers point of view I've never even considered buying something from unsolicited email.

I've been reading/watching a lot of marketing information from a company called Hubspot. They advocate inbound marketing, and for those of you that aren't seeing the results you desire for safelists and the like you might want to think about changing your marketing techniques. (I believe if you Google "Inbound Marketing" you'll get some top results from Hubspot to check out.)

Whatever technique you chose, best of luck!

Safelists and Ad Exchanges, Facebook and Twitter, Google or Yahoo. The choices become more overwhelming everyday with all the possibilities. However, for me, I still find direct networking is my best venue for scaring up new business. The time necessary to take full advantage of any of the methods, viral or not, are just too great. And, as stated elsewhere, the glut of information usually hides a glut of junk so be careful what you believe. Yet, I'm glad for all those for whom the new tech is effective.

Hmm. I'm not sure I would want to go to that kind of trouble to try to bring in traffic. I seem to be getting the most traffic by accurate keywording and then overproviding good content, so that it generates word of mouth.

Link exchanges are useful if the other site is of genuine relevance to my site. The link has to actually enhance the page I'm adding it to, be one more thing that the reader who liked that page would be interested in. I've added a number of link exchange links to selected pages to continue on the subtopics of that pages, but I'm ruthless in choosing on quality of the sites I link to.

On both these safelists and traffic exchange things, it involves spending a lot of time looking at sites of random quality most of which are selling something directly.

But the one thing that worked fastest and best for me is building traffic by frequent updates. Wherever I go if it's one of my pay-for-post sites or my own site, if I start daily updates my traffic will slam up through the roof -- provided my keywords are accurate to topic.

For the search engines ranking it is not important how many visitors you get but how long they stay at your site. (And coming back) So whatever you do, you need value in your content. That’s why I learned to write articles and learned to get them in the search engines. Step by step, bit by bit, it got me to 1.000 visitors a day and 30% click through, …… after ten years! People are making links to my articles without me asking them. At this moment 8368 links witch bring me 18% of my traffic. But, … now that I learned so much it became that some people see me as the expert. The fact that I want more customers made me think; “Can I learn some more”.

I was trying all you listed,i found it to be useful if someone doing some affiliate programs and need traffic to get sites to be seen;currently i am off of such programs and traffic exchanges ,but of course everyone who does a promotion to make money it is necessary to stay with free and upgrade offers.
