Are you my friend or do you just want to sale me something?

I know, we are all in business and making sales is very important. It's the same for me too.
However, I don't get emails from people just talking to me about something happening in their lives or asking about mine.

I log in over here and one after the other email is someone trying to get me to buy something, sign up to sale something..etc. etc.

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a fellow business lady this morning. She's just getting ready to open her physical store and we were talking about how to stand out and get noticed.

I told her that for me it's important that people get to know me, that they see me and experience me as a real person. I DO care about each person I do business with. That's my business, caring and helping.

I think that we have all gotten burned out with computer trees that take thirty minutes to finally make your way through to get to a real person. We're ready for human to human contact.

I will be much more likely to check out your profile and thus what you are offering if instead of constantly trying to ram it down my throat.. you get human for a few minutes. Tell me about what you do in summer heat, how you spend your free time. Talk to me and get to know me while giving me the chance to know you.

I'm not a computer .. I'm human.. with ears, eyes, heart, feelings.. and I like using them.

PS. It's really hot here .. over 100.. so I'm gardening early and late. Getting ready to dig potatoes and pick tomatoes.
