Create a Stimulus Package that Works - Part 1

The current Stimulus Bill has so many additions that were on politicians agendas. Why couldn't they create just one bill that addresses only the financial crisis that America is incurring. You hear them say "Buy American" why not "Invest in America". What if they created a bill that will help just the American people by putting money in their pockets. If giving every household a certain amount of cash people will be able to stop foreclosure and live a good life. This stimulus bill would be a one time only event. If every household would get this money they would start the economy by spending and investing.

Back in 2007 President Bush did a noble thing giving every taxpayer approximately $600 for filing single and $1200 for joint filing. But this wasn't enough to boost the economy. It helped for a couple of months but look at where we are today.

There would be concerns that this money would be used for criminal intent. But there would have to be safety measures and certain criteria be met before households would be able to receive these funds. Also, in return each individual or joint filer would be required to pay a 1 or 2 percent tax on the initial payment. This would be added to your regular income taxes. But by doing this both parties win. The individuals would be able to rebuild their lives as well as the government will start to recoop the funds that have been set. This 1 or 2 percent tax will remain in effect for the next 4 years. After that each individual will be responsible for the taxes in full.

By giving this money to the people, many would say that we are turning socialistic. But to the contrary, the government is making a statement that we are investing in our future. The American People are the future of the United States of America.

This country was built on Entreprenuerism. We have let Big Business take control of our lives. Look at where we are now. Lets take it back from them. Years ago Mom and Pop stores could be seen in every single town. Now its large incorporated businesses that are taking away from our livelyhood. We work to make a small amount of people rich. This new stimulus bill would make that all possible. People could pull the resources from each other create new businesses and jobs.


I don't mean to be paranoid, but if the economy doesn't reconcile fast, this will give anyone or any group that hate Americans and what America stands for and opportunity to inflict harm just as we saw or even worse on 9-11. This is just food for thought.
