Free and Paid Advertising Resources: What's the Difference?

Many people use free advertising resources and there's not one thing wrong with that, and they can be very effective if they're used in the right way. But the main difference in free resources versus paid is the time involved, and time is money, so you may be spending a lot more time than you should promoting your programs if you're using the free advertising, when you could spend a few bucks and save a lot of time.

Let me explain it this way. With a free safelist for instance, where you can only send one ad every week, you could spend about $10 a month and send an ad daily. You'd be getting seven times the exposure for your business and possibly get seven times more signups and seven times more sales, so you'd really be saving money in the long run.

With a free traffic exchange account, you may only be getting the minimum amount of credits and wind up running out and having to surf for several hours per day to build them back up again. But by spending a few dollars for the paid account, you would get a lot more credits and not have to surf as much, so the amount of time you'd be saving would enable you to spend more time working on your site, working with contacts and other things that help your business, or you'd be able to spend more of that time with family. That's called time freedom and it can be even more valuable than earnings in the long run.

On the other hand, if you're just starting out and don't have a big advertising budget, free marketing tools are a real lifesaver to help you get started. And you can still save time if you use a few other tools to make using them easier and quicker. Like a tabbed browser for instance, which enables you to open all your similar tools as a group and then you can just click from tab to tab to post your ads or surf in your traffic exchanges. This way you can have up to ten tabs open at once and have ten times the amount of sites to give you that many times more free resources to use on a daily basis. Yes it is a little more time consuming to set up, but once you have it running smoothly you can set up a routine and get it done in a few hours per day versus several hours per day if you did just one at a time.

just ask yourself these questions. Do I want to trade my time for money? Or would I rather trade a little money for time? It's all up to you.
