If you live in Chicago you know that we have two, not four, seasons. Summer and Winter!
The trees are beginning to lose their leaves. I do love this time of the year, the cool brisk mornings and snow always bring me back to my childhood. My favorite part is all the hot chocolate!
I just wanted to see how everyone was doing, while I know there are constant posts and so forth, it seems a bit quiet every now and then on here. Of course, we are all busy...but, I just wanted to stop in and say hello to all my friends here.
If you experience the cold seasons like me, and love hot chocolate here's my favorite recipe:
Brown Sugar Hot Cocoa
Lots of brown sugar makes this cocoa recipe extra sweet. You can still taste the real chocolate thats melted into this hot cocoa.
Ingredients:
* 3 oz unsweetened chocolate
* 1/3 cup water
* 4 cups hot milk
* 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
* 1/8 tsp salt
Preparation:
In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and water together. Slowly mix in milk, sugar and salt. Whisk until chocolate is smooth and blended
OR try this
Sugar Free Hot Cocoa

* 1/4 cup dry skim milk powder
* 1 1/2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa
* 1 teaspoon Splenda sugar substitute
* 1 cup boiling water
Directions

Hope all is well!
