This may not be a popular blog but I really feel like I need to share this. Most people on network marketing forums or groups are already in some kind of homebased business. For many this is the only reason they are on there. Many join or sign up to these forums or sites to get information on how to succeed in their business or how to promote it or build their team, or whatever. The point is they are not looking for people to bombard them with every other opportunity on the face of the planet. If we seek to help others and treat them and their businesses with repect then we will find that our businesses will be more successful because we focus on the important things.
What am I getting to? you may ask
Here it is. Frankly I am appalled by the way we shove our businesses on the newbie networkers who are just trying to find their way in this business and instead of helping them we break their spirit with or bad habits and lack or respect. We become like sharks lurking for some innocent fish in the water.
I donot believe that it is fair to them when we push every thing infront of them. Let me tell you this is a recipe for failure. Let them focus on one thing and then as they grow we can introduce them to a little at a time. No one ever teaches a baby to crawl, walk and run all at the same time. It is a process. You master one thing and then you move on to the next.
Do not tell a newbie that your opportunity is better than theirs.
Do not offer your advice unless they ask for it.
Never assume that you know what they need or what's best for them.
Do not shove our opportunity down their throats
Do not put words in their mouth or treat them like they are stupid.
As a network marketer I know that I did not join social networks and forums to be bombarded by every TOM, DICK AND HARRY about their business opportuity and how much better their businesses are thine mine
Here are some things you can do
Do listen to them
Do offer advice when asked
Do be professional
Do share your tips and tricks of success
Do build relationships, get to know them as people and not as a number or $ sign.
Do treat people the way you want to be treated
If you concentrate on these things in your forums and or groups you will help make these places a pleasant experience for all networkers whether they are newbies or professional.
Keep in mind that all opportunties are not created equal and what may work well for you may not work for another and every one thinks that his/her opportunity is better than yours too.
I believe that these sites and forums or groups are great places to share ideas and make new friends so let's all use them wisely.
