Prime Time for Imagination!

Take a look around and you can't help but see and hear all the buzz about 'these difficult' times we live in. One can't help being influenced by all the negative rants about all the changes going on in the world today. However... it is a choice, we can believe and think what we want. We can join in with the negative rants or we can imagine what we want! There is no better time than NOW to be the change you want to see in the world.

How often do you imagine the life you want? Most of us can only imagine what we don’t want and in doing so, we bring it to ourselves very quickly.

Unfortunately our “imagination” is beaten out of us at an early age. Have any of you had a childhood imaginary friend? Did your parents approve of your imaginary friend? Mine didn’t! I was told to stop talking to my imaginary friend because people would think something was wrong with me. I learned very quickly that using my imagination wasn’t a good thing. How about when you first start school and the teacher tells you to color a picture. You color the sky orange and the grass yellow or brown and the teacher tells you no, no that’s not the right colors, grass is green and the sky is blue, you get a big X on your picture because you used your imagination! So you say to the teacher “but look, the grass is brown and the sky is orange” as you are pointing out the window. The teacher gets angry, says that you are being disruptive and sends you to the principles office. The lesson you just learned is that imagination gets you into trouble.

Without using your imagination to paint the pictures on your mind of what you can do, have, be and experience you will be living your life by default. By default, I mean waiting around for something to happen or accepting whatever happens to you instead of making things happen. Being an active participant in your life will bring you ALL the happiness, abundance, wealth and well-being you can handle.

Say you want to past an important exam. If you are in fear of not passing it and thinking, oh my I just know I’m going to fail the exam, what do you think your chances of passing are? Not good. If you spend some time imagining yourself taking the exam, easily answering all the questions (the one’s you’ve studied over and over), then see the exam handed back to you with a big A+ on it, all the while ‘feeling’ the emotions of how easy and excitement because you know all the answers, and that great feeling of seeing the A+ on your exam, don’t you think the possibility of accomplishing that A+ is not much, much better? Of course it is!

Paint only the pictures on your mind of what you want and only those pictures will show up in your life. If you imagine yourself as not good enough, guess what…that’s exactly how you will feel. If you imagine yourself as more than enough, that’s how you will feel and that’s what you’ll bring into your life, more than enough!

So you want to be a rock star and play the guitar! Imagine… act it out, play the air guitar while imagining the audience going wild, cheering you on.

So you want a really cool car, a fast one, bright red with white interior and a convertible. Imagine yourself driving it, shifting the gears, hear the engine whine, feel the wind blow your hair, see yourself, feel the emotions of it.

No matter what it is you want, start imagining already having it, the feel of it, the taste, sight and sound of it.

This is important so pay attention! Imagination isn’t enough to get you what you want. You must be happy and thankful for what you already have, imagine how it would feel to have what you want, then pay attention to your intuition, signs will appear, people will show up, jobs will open up to you, so that you can make it happen. First you must BE then you must DO. Be, do, be, do, be, do, be ,do! And the next thing you know you’re singing it!

Now pay attention because when you start imagining what you want, it will start showing up everywhere. Have you ever thought about a certain car you’d like to have, then as you are out an about, you start seeing that car everywhere you go? Pretty cool huh!

Keep your mind wide open! This isn’t the kind of stuff they teach you in school.

If we are happy for no reason what-so-ever and spend some time imagining ourselves doing what brings us joy, makes our heart sing, brings out the love in us, then we are sure to bring or attract those things to us.

If we are dissatisfied with what we have, have fear about not having enough, complain about what we already have, wish for something but feel undeserving of it, it will not show up in our life. If we come from a place of lack and want, we will be left lacking and wanting.

Do you, or have you imagined yourself being or doing something that you love and someone else (like our parents) tells you “oh no, no, you’re going to work in the family business” or “Oh no, you wouldn’t be good at that” or “HA, HA, HA, you’re crazy, what would people think” etc., etc… So then you decide ‘they’ must be right and so you follow the path they have set for you only to find out that it doesn’t make you happy at all.

We each have special talents and abilites and when we are not using them, it doesn’t feel good. Learning to BE who we are is very important. Being who we are might not bring someone else close to you very happy, at least not right away, but eventually once they see how happy and abundant your life becomes they will get the picture. And it they don’t… that’s ok, just be willing to accept them for who they are, their perceptions and choices! It is our birth right to BE who we really are. Pretending to be something we’re not, only creates pain and unhappiness.

So start priming the imagination and see where it takes you! Remember...everything you see around you came from someone's imagination, and it all started as a thought!

Love what you do and do what you love and you will BE wealthy beyond anything you could ever have imagined.
