"Where there is no vision, the people perish" King Solomon warned in Proverbs. King Solomon was noted for his wisdom. That statement applies in business as well as in our personal lives.

Many business leaders do not provide a vision statement for their business or those that they lead.

A vision statement must be written in a clear and concise fashion. It provides the business leader with an inspired purposeful statement of intent for their business. While some business leaders provide a mission statement, many times it can be lacking in inspirational value.

There is something empowering about putting the vision statement in writing, so write it down. Again, make it clear and concise and filled with inspired vision and purpose. It will drive your business and aide in inspiring others in your business to follow your lead.

That is certainly not to say that a vision statement, in and of itself, creates great success in business. Once a vision statement is clearly defined in writing, then focused and dedicated action by the business owner must take place to manifest the vision for the business.

Here is the great news. When a business owner operates their business filled with their purpose and vision a couple things occur. First, the action part is no longer 'work' to the business owner. Second, when the business leader leads with a sense of vision and purpose, it serves those that they lead to discover their vision and purpose in business. There is great group synergy in operating a business with vision and purpose.

It truly becomes a pleasure to fulfill your vision in business and it will drive your business. It will also drive those that do business with and for you.
