It brought down the mortgage and money markets, it is set to take new victims, business without product or service is no business, and a market without real people has no future.
When the young child shouted he is naked the masses ignored him until it was obvious, so lets look at the real scene.
Manufacturers created product that no-one was buying so it sits stock piled in storage all around the world.
The products that were bought were bought with invisible money and one day someone is going to want it back. So purchasing has become a high risk venture.
Markets were driven by fashion not need, cars are not sold on what they do but rather the lifestlye associated.
So three points to dress with:
1 Create relationships with real businesses and people ensuring that you supply only what they need not what you want them to buy.
2 Listen to the market note it's phrasing and intolerance because you are ahead of the pack when you answer the first call.
3 Vanity is a crital sikness in business no one is immune so plan for difficult days as well as good.
A point to remember grow is only possible where there is room, economic models point to unlimited growth potential or all businesses but the reality is if that were true we would all still be farmers because wealth would be growing with our economic stake.
Market places reach saturation and so do economies governments can plough in money to prop up the banks but the business of life carries on whether they succeed or not. You recession proof your business by preparing when everyone else is celebrating and paying bonuses.
Enjoy your busines don't endure it.
