Three reasons to use this panic and fear in the system to build your skills portfolio.

1 New information excites the creative pocess - rather than continually racing around to find business you create and air of quiet confidence, the new skills clearly enhance your organisations ability to meet customer needs and produce improved quality - (for those who say we are the best we can be a word to explore [complacent])

2 Opportunism - increased information always offers new horizons for the active mind, often new links are made and options present themselves in such a way that could have been missed before.

3 Training creates internal energy in an organisation - rather focus on what is not working or business failures or shrinking markets the power of learning energises people, creates confidence and improves performance.

Experience has led me to realise that the most effective team is the one that never feels too complete, everyone is striving for new materials and interests to add to the customer portfolio. Like all art forms business is an acquired skill to enhance our performance we need to proactice, learn, build and share to avoid stagnation.

Business Communication is a great start for everyone, to explore who we are and how we are understood is always revealing, andthen to extend that to how we understand others can begin to change the shape of operations.

Those who get sucked into the market panic and don't build skills and resources now will not be leaders in 2009/10. New markets open up every week but the skills to exploit them take time to follow, so buck the trend, use education and training to challenge performance and restore calm and confidence.
