Trust is top dog when it comes to effective leadership.

We enjoyed conversation about the important qualities leaders possess in the workplace. Many FEWnet members agree that a great sense of humor, the ability to motivate, and effective communication skills ranked high on the list, but the top quality is trust with empathy coming in at a close second. Trust plays a key role in achieving business results, forming productive relationships, and overall work satisfaction. Empathy humanizes people while creating a sense of connection that comes when we feel understood by others. Think about the outstanding leaders you’ve encountered. It’s our bet that you look most fondly on those whom you trust and who trust you. Ponder ways you can establish and give a trusting attitude to those in your business circle. You may just cook up a relationship that can be enjoyed for many years to come.

A great reminder of the importance of trust and integrity in the workplace. As a business leader and Coach and Mentor, I give it top priority. Integrity and trust I have heard described is what we do when no one is looking. Building strong business and personal relations begins at home and from the top down.

Thank you Sandra. Great post!
