What Will You Do To Improve Your Advertising?

Advertising is the lifeblood of any business, whether it's online or offline.

All advertising isn't created equal! Some advertising sends in a trickle of traffic, others are a little better, some don't deliver at all, but the good news is that there are a lot of advertising avenues both online and offline that delivers what they promise.

As an advertiser you need to identify those advertising avenues that delivers what they promise, then advertise consistently in the advertising source you've chosen.

Why consistent advertising is necessary

Consistent advertising is necessary because people are inundated with advertising. Every day you see over 3,000 ads that seem to come at you from every direction. You see ads on T.V., in the newspaper, on your computer, billboards, on vehicles, on the windows and in the rest rooms of various businesses. You hear them on the radio as you commute to work, or travel.

How do you get through the "jungle of jingling jargon" to your audience with your message?

You need to advertise consistently wherever you choose to advertise! Work diligently to find what advertising works for you. Then advertise consistently to receive the greatest return on your investment.

Get Attention! Whatever it takes, use a "dancing frog" to gain attention, whatever it takes! Look what the gecko has done for insurance. Of maybe a "cave man" is that unique attention-getter you need to draw attention to your advertising message.

Get creative, think outside the box, or hire someone who can come up with that unique idea that differentiates your business or web site from all the rest.

Make advertising priority #1 for your business!

Too many times business and web site owners get too busy with daily tasks to take significant time to plan their advertising to make it more effective, or to advertise at all!

Do you delay advertising for the following reasons?

* You haven't decided to advertise this month, because advertising and all it entails, takes time away from running your business
* You've decided to use your money for advertising to pay other bills
* You postpone the appointments you set to meet with account executives who want to meet with you, because you just can't face making that decision on where to advertise
* You don't want to think about what to put in your advertisement.

Business and web site owners procrastinate for all the "excuses" above and many more.

Don't play "Barney Fife" and shoot yourself in the foot with "excuses", arm yourself with all the reasons you should advertise then spend enough time to plan well, or get someone that is well qualified to consult with you or hire someone to do it for you. Advertising is that important!

Hit your target market with the best advertising you can find, then keep hitting your audience like a boxer in training with that old "onesy twosy" punch, ad after ad, until customers are banging at your door like good "crazed" shoppers should be shopping.

Circulation is important but only if you are reaching your target market. An even better choice for your advertising is circulation that is constantly increasing.

Make your decision now that you will make your advertising priority #1 for your business!

Success in the fastlane is that you slow down enough to advertise smart, by thinking intently about where, when and how often you will advertise. Then just do it!

Keep that "life blood" of advertising flowing to keep your business growing!

The key for me is to spend a little time on a regular basis on it. During lunch time, I set aside at least 20 minutes to do something that promotes my business even if it is following up with a current or former client.

Excellent, this is the problem for local small business owners, time, all advertising methods are good. Advertising is what I do, I have to, I agree that it is the bloodline. online and offline. Offline business owners, also need a presence. I find out that many do not have a presence. When I have talked to them, they have told me of the thousands of dollars they have spend with out knowing their Return On Investment. They are looking for the solutions, when you can give it to them they are happy. But there are solutions, affordable solutions. I am glad that I can provide that for them. Thanks

The most important of all is the consistency. The other important point is how to bring attention to an advertisement.
Presentation in a natural way and should not look like one is advertising rather shall look actual and very casual contain some small interview etc. explain that it is not hazardous to health. based on the target group priorities changes with customers. Health concious individuals would go for healthy products, rich people for being unique, with status, economically week would go for price and durability etc. demonistration is important. repetation, simple and easy to understanding, price changes (discounts). media television, radio, flyers, internet. some times stunt words or action brings attention. one important way is to first get hold of a buyer before he or she buys something is to ask them they give their contacts and these customer get more informtion on certain product. and repetion of such contacts. now how to do that on actual adverisement to get one to drop his or her e-mail for further contacts.

So true, consistency is key. I do use white list e-mail marketing, but don't necessarily rely on it! There are too many people shouting and not enough people listening and it is tough to set yourself from the crowd. I use social media, blogs, videos, ezines and articles to advertise ME.

Where I have just recently started by business I have found cost effective ways to advertise my business.
The first thing I did was design and order my business cards through VistaPrint.com. I have printed up fliers(had copies made at Staples which is cost effective) with pull tabs and have posted them in high traffic areas that have bulletin boards.
I Twitter, Facebook, Gather, Hubpages, Blogger, Yahoo, Multiply, Tagged, Ning, where I post blogs with useful content and also blog about my business. All of these sites are FREE.
I took a walk downtown and passed out samples of my product which was accompanied with my business card.
I keep samples with me, you just never know who you are going to strike up a conversation.
I swap business cards with people that are already successful or have a business who are looking for other ways to increase their income.
I have started to build a page in Weebly.com still under construction, that has an opportunity video on the page and will soon have the most recent 30 second clip that was released by corporate that is eye catching and entertaining. I will be spending more time in there reorganizing. I do have a comment box (capture) where people can send me a message and request more information.
I am also working on a Youtube page.
I have been religiously made a presence on different sites especially Twitter and Facebook which has generated leads, as people come to me asking questions about my business.
I take time to study study study, watch watch watch, and learn learn learn from the rockstars of network marketing. I study infomercials to learn more about human nature and what drives them.
All of this on a shoestring budget!! I can laugh about this because my bank account is in the negative right now!!
The most important thing, is I sit and read a few pages out of "Think and Grow Rich" Napoleon Hill...so that I do not lose sight of the gold that I know is only 3 feet away.
I also utilize a site designed for reps which has a capture page and auto responder, that generates email to interested prospects. I pay a nominal fee of 19.00 a month for this automated secretary.
I also use MySpace and have one account dedicated to my business with videos, a blog and links to my capture page.
I have also launched a community for other reps with my company to get to know one another and share what works and and what doesn't as we all want to see each other succeed.
I set up a table at the local farmers market and pass out samples and soon I will doing the same at the flea market. I have a giveaway where I capture peoples information voluntarily in return for a chance to win a basket with the product in it and a 15.00 first order gift card as well as a 5.00 cert to a local coffee shop.
These are just a few ways I advertise for less than pennies on the dollar and most of them completely FREE.

I love the article and the information.
With so many options it's time consuming determining which ones will be most affective.

Love yourself well.. always,

It is hard to focus on one method of advertising. When starting out with a limited budget it is easy to spend all your advertising dollars in one place without even trying. Make sure your "why" is strong enough. If you are not committed to your business and get distracted you will be advertising the latest, greatest thing but switch to something else next month. I have seen people in my industry get distracted on all kinds of things. I'm focused on debt solutions and that is all I do. I don't care what else comes along; I'm not interested. All my advertising is focused on one thing.
