What's the difference between Life Networking and Business Networking?

I think many of us get lost in "Business Networking" and doing it the wrong way at that. Honest mistake though, because of course we all want business success. Problem is, it doesn't work.

Let's stop wasting our time doing Business Networking by Master Blasting our ads to everyone as much as possible (Unless you have millions to pay ad agencies to produce your ads and to pay for TV and other highly expensive media outlets)

Otherwise it's about life networking:
Getting to know others first and putting out a helping hand.
Building your network by helping others first

Life Networking: is helping others in any area of life that we can and making connections for them with others who may be able to help. And knowing it will come back eventually without forcing it, possibly from different sources.

Business Networking:

Done wrong: is blasting your add all over the place (with no concern for ethics)
Done right: coordinating with other business owners to share lists or to share ideas or to combine dollars to promote, to barter services, to recommend others services where applicable. It's important to be open to the form your business networking will take with each individual. If we pre-decide we will likely miss the opportunity. AND PLEASE: Do not think that the only value in a person, business owner or not, is a sale. You will miss out on sooo much value to yourself, much of which will be much more value than the 1 little sale many of us are so focused on.

What do you think? What is the difference between Life Networking and Business Networking
What are your networking philosophies?
((Don't lie! Because most of my inbox messages are ads, not conversations. I know who you are. LOL!))

Thanx
Ted

While talking about life networking .... Ken, please share your story if you don't mind. He has so unselfishly help a woman half across the world, it is just a great example of like one famous networkers said , networking is giving and giving and giving, until it hurts and then give some more! And it will all come back to you in the end.

Ken I know you're probably shy about sharing it because it wasn't for that purpose but please share your story with us here. Thanx

Point well taken Ted! Although I am no guru of marketing and by the description of both 'Life' and 'Business' networking, I have yet to begin business networking. The majority of my time is providing advice and suggestions on health and fitness. As much as I desire much success with my business ventures, it gives me great pleasure helping others learn and implement a better quality of life. And in doing so and aside from the persons that repulsively and aggressively promote their products and/or other business, I have had the pleasure of connecting with awesome, like-minded business persons.
