WHEN DREAMS COME TRUE: An Author's Happy Ending

Eighteen years ago I started on a journey of which I could clearly see the end, but had no idea of how I would arrive at the destination. Through trials and errors, signing three contracts and having two of them fail, speaking with and showing my idea to hundreds of people, I have finally arrived. I am happy to report that my dream is coming true!! It all began during a conversation with my daughter in which we were discussing the lack of black rag dolls on the market. We fondly talked about our favorite toys and dolls as children, but were saddened by not having had black dolls to play with. A few days after our conversation, in a dream the idea came, and then the concept, followed by the design for the dolls I would call "Oodles" and their imaginary land of "Oodleville," whose adventures I would relate in a series of children's storybooks. Despite the challenges, starts and stops, and great disappointments, I met a wonderful person whose heart was captured by my vision and who has put forth time, effort and financial backing to bring my dream into reality. Finally, the Bubba Oodle doll has been manufactured; the book, "The First Trip" is in the last stages of publication; the website is being built; and in just a short while the world will be able to see manifested the blessings from God when dreams come true.
