Where Do Artist Market Their Work And Reach Non Artist Buyers?

I'm an artist, crafter and business woman, as well as an art instructor doing community volunteer work, with youth after school programs. I've been in business for 10 years, and also have run my family automobile repair business. As you can see the two are in separate extremes. One is based on and dependent on Insurance companies, and the other is dependent on if I'm reaching the right customers to buy my wares.

My dilemma is this, I belong to a few well know artisan networks, such as Etsy, Artfire, Myspace, etc. You get the idea. But I'm really selling to other artist, who are themselves trying to make a living as well. At this time these sites are very slow, due to the fact that all us artist are trying to save money and sell what we make. It's kind of like the rat on the wheel syndrome. Standing in place, and going no where. I've made some really good sales, but still I don't feel I'm reaching the audience that I need to, to make the type of income I feel is possible doing what I do.

I'm putting it out there to all my frenz and members, that if you have any ideas or suggestions, please convo me and let me know what you think. Please check out my sites as well, all advice as long it's sweet is welcome.
