These are my favorite news sites:

1) CNN - For the democrats.

2) BNJ - The best independent news source.

3) FOX - For the Republicans.

I ususally watch CNN for national news and WIS for my local news. However, I watch many news shows just to keep informed. I usually start with the internet verus watching television.

I really like MSNBC for political news. They lean to the progressive side, but they generally have views from both sides. This gives you the information you need to make a decision. I refuse to watch FOX as they, in my opinion, are really so one sided. Of course for the local news, I watch NBC. Thanks for asking.

Very seldom I watch news. As majority of the news are negative, exagerated, there is not much it can help you. I usually just read news from yahoo and that's it. i would rather read interesting books and people's success stories than listen to the news.

Twitter is not bad for the more interesting news, Otherwise BBC News on the TV with morning coffee is enough. From time to time a flip through the international news channels does offer more variety, and I will do that for the weather news across the globe.

So what's new? Mmmmm? Not much, I don't think; it's all much a case of "the same old", I'm afraid. Give me good news any day as long as it is true and uplifting. There's not much of that about.

I am a South African and I don't, on principle, follow Sky, Fox, CNN or any of the international or local newscasters for one simple reason; most of it is media hype and the institutionalising of the one world government, or New World Order. What do you think most of the "designer wars" and "designer crimes" etc. have been all about over the past hundred years? It is all leading to one eventuality. Good news or bad news, you decide?

Mankind has been most unkind to mankind. Not so?

For the latest News I keep up to date with CNNand for weather the best source is Wunderground and since i live in Florida you must have the up to minute Tropical report. I do a lot of offshore fishing so the Marine Forecast was very important also. When Wunderground report the offshore seas at 3 to 5 feet you can count on it.

I watch the local news at 6:00 most of the time, and then the CBS news because thats our local affiliate station... I like to see JUST HOW BIASED they can get... WOW! They are WAY out there most of the time.

I will sometimes click on a news item on Google when I'm online...

I actually don't watch the news often or regularly. I occasionally watch the evening news on the local channels, and I catch a few big stories through my Yahoo & gmail accounts. Really, though, I am more likely to get the news from one of my magazines then anything else. If there is a story that makes it into an article in a magazine that discusses what I am interested in, it is more likely to be of interest for me to pursue the information.

I follow the White House, Barack Obama, and CNN on Twitter. This provides small, easy-to-skim bites that I can follow up on if I'm interested in learning more.
