My first car was a spankin' new 1969 Dodge Dart GTS 340 and my first magazine subscription of any sort was Hot Rod. I like all forms of motorsports. But NASCAR has become a bore with the new car and the squeaky-clean drivers and IndyCar is a shadow of its former self so I've reverted to my first love, sports car racing, particularly the American Le Mans Series (I think they run at Mid Ohio near Columbus). That explains the backdrop of the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans in my photo. The microphone is because I'm a frustrated track announcer!
I'll stay in touch as I start playing with Sta.rtUp.biz.
Yes, I've been an automobile enthusiast and motorsports fan all my life but at the moment my biggest client is Roth Boat Builders (I'm also co-founder and part owner of the company). I should probably come up with a more nautical head shot for this purpose!
What track is your husband affiliated with? My friend Dave Rodman is Senior Writer at NASCAR.com (Turner Sports New Media).
As a graphic designer/advertising professional for over thirty years I'm becoming more and more involved in online marketing these days. I just learned about sta.rtup.biz and joined today. The invitation came from a member of the DUB Magazine Ning network (http://www.dubmag.net/) that I joined when I was doing research to design a social networking site for Roth Boat Builders (http://nantucketskiff.ning.com/).
I have Facebook and Linkedin pages as well but sta.rtup.biz looks quite promising. I'll flesh out my profile when I get a chance.
Cathie: Would love to connect with you and talk more. As an Internet radio station, I'm always on the prowl to help my listeners learn more and to offer them choices that they're not always aware of. And, yes, I'm also interested in finding additional revenue stream for the station. Please, get in touch. Love to chat and connect. Thanks, Lillian
Dear Cathie, Thanks for your latest message and thanks for the oppotunity to get to know you. I am also originally from the midwest, Chicago area, and have some distant relatives in Ohio. I was married but am now a widow and was not blessed with any children, unfortunately, but am really blessed with music among other activities. I live in western NC now and we definitely have four seasons, but they are shorter than the midwestern storms and they interfere less with transportation problems when we *must* get to where we are going! :) I have to say that your company is next on my list to get to know and we will be in touch. Congratulations on your nice family and soon to be eighth grandchild! I am happy for you.
Thanks for the welcome and I will be happy to add you as a friend here. I have limited time until after the holidays but you can be sure I will be spending a lot of time here then!
Happy Holidays to You and Yours!
Thanks, Cathie - I appreciate the offer for help with my business. I'm really looking for people to hear about Shaklee's great new anti-aging complex Vivix, either for their own use or for the innovative new business opportunity.
Thanks for connecting with me! I'm very interested in your business and would enjoy talking with you about it and mine! Aside from real estate I represent a great company, Forever Green. Their products range from marine phytoplankton, a true SUPER FOOD to skin care & weight loss products. It'd be great to exchange info!
