I have lived an incredable life so far and feel it's only begining.
In my 45 years I've lived in some of the most beautiful places imaginable like Europe, California, Texas, New York and now I live in Cancun, Mexico.
I have done so many things that I don't know where to be begin but some of the highlights were playing music professionally for 10 years as a singer in an original rock band and touring all over the U.S. That was an enlightening experience and taught me so much about people from all walks of life.
Sales and marketing are really important skills to have in life because whether we realize it or not we are always selling something. We are always convincing people or trying to influence them in some way to do or behave in ways that we prefer them to.
Kids are true experts in this respect and we could learn alot from them.
Children have a way of discovering ways to get people to do what they want them to do and if they fail, they will try again with a new approach and they tailor their methods to suit the person they're trying to influence.
Sales Masters if you ask me and anyone trying to get better at selling would be wise to take notes of how children relentlessly try to get what they want. Just an observation and over-simplified of course but, with that kind of never-ending intensity and curiosity we can learn to get results in our sales and marketing efforts.
This journey, and that is what it is, a journey, is constantly growing and discovering ways to grow and expand your business and it is more important than the destination.
Somewhere along the way I discovered that as a retired recording artist I had time and money and did not have to go to work everyday like most people did and naturally you end up hanging out with people in simular circumstances and I ran into people involved in Network Marketing.
They too did not have to work during the day as most of the people they were marketing to were at work during those times and so they contacted them in the evenings.
Knowing that my funds would not last forever, the lifestyle they had really attracted me and the fact they were willing to share their knowledge with me was intriging.
I got involved and never looked back!
Now that I have had some success it only seems right that I share what I have learned with others and give back some of the bountiful gifts this business has given us.
In a recent study of emotional intelligence, it was found that people who could delay gratification often led more successful lives than those who could not. This is why the educational system inherent in a good network marketing opportunity is so important. It's the emotional education or emotional intelligence aspect of their programs that I find so valuable for people.
You may have heard of Robert Kiyosaki, best-selling author of the book Rich Dad Poor Dad. He says the rich don't work for money and instead work to build assets. Once you have built or bought an asset, that asset works hard to make money for you. (
read more about Robert Kiyaosaki here then leave a comment on the blog with a link back to your site)
After studying his books and meeting Robert in Arizona, I have been working to build my assets and help others do the same. I now understand that a network marketing business gives everyone access to what used to be the domain only of the rich. It's a business model that pulls you up instead of pushing you down.
The freedom that comes with having an asset like that is liberating.
I look forward to meeting like-minded people and to learn from them as well as share what I know with others.
Success is a team sport!
Traveling this jouney with you...
Sincerely,
